altcoins are the best investment if you don't get caught up in the hype. but if you are one of those people who are easily influenced by some random person telling then lies then you will lose money and it becomes a bad investment for you!

in fact a big part of my bitcoin holding is because of investing in altcoins and dumping them at the right time.

Perfectly said, Altcoins are good for trading and only some coins are worth to keep for long term and balance coin just trade and forget it because if you love the altcoin then it will surely ditch you. Just trade and keep earning bitcoins as bitcoin is the only crypto currency which will be high in long time

Why? because most of them are usually scams. The call it either scamcoin or shitcoin. So you be better watch out those type of coins and do a research whenever you want to invest in an altcoin. They are very few and usually they are on top of  the marketcap.

because there are no actual implementation, the price only based on the trading, so once people already bored with it then they will dump the coin and  move to another coin, that is why once shitcoin going down it will be hard to going up again, and then some of the coin being created to make the owner rich after the owner feel enough then the owner will abandoned the coin and create another new coin

Don't expect to much of that situations to be negative always with the outcome, because that shitcoins you are mentioning can be a big boom in thr future. Who knows? And most of it really happens, like an example of a product like having cheap selling price but in the future it gathered more demand from buyer because of it's good quality. That's how I view shit coin really is, and we can't really judge while it's still on the process of penetrations to crypto currency market.

I will have to agree with this.
It is not just about going with the famous one or those who can get a lot of people to advertise it.
Altcoin is way different. The features about it is the key if it can run for many years and also the developers.
What are the purposes for creating it. If you think it is for long-term then you might want to leave the coins until it is all settled and might come in handy in the future.

It's not the point if you only know how efficiently trading is , Altcoin price depends on the demand supply and its projects and it is normal that an altcoin have a fluctuation or pump and dump .Those altcoins you said is a bad investment if you don't know how to trade you can say that it is not good to invest in altcoins which is reversly to the Traders who knows how to play in trading of altcoins.

I think all of the coins have a tendency to be a "shitcoin", it depends on the developers if they'd pull out and would just disappear out of nowhere and be contented of the amount they got from the coinmarket so yeah you are right, altcoins are bad when it comes to investment but that's the irony of it too we still invest on them even if we know that's a possibility because we all are hoping to get rich out of the altcoins we are investing.

And who says altcoin investments are bad? That is not right for me. Well, bitcoin is always a good investment as it is surely going up. But altcoins are also another source of profit when their prices go up.

Not all altcoins of course. Some are kind of dying. But alternate cryptocurrencies include the litecoin that you mentioned. Litecoin is doing perfectly well. There are several others who are prospects in terms of money making investments.

There's people that made a bunch of money through Altcoins. There was a guy not that long ago that made over a million dollars by holding his Ethereum.

Investing in Bitcoin is one thing but if you know how to tell what coin is a real coin with a positive influence within the cryptocurrency community then you could make a bunch of money through altcoin trading. I would recommend it to only a few people.

And this would be the hardest part for most of us since we wont know on what would be the theb est coins out there do have the potential. If you are a complete newbie or does have only small knowledge on it then you would mostly end up on holding shitcoins. I agree on what you have said not all are junks but there are coins who do have the potential and its really worth to put up our money on.

It is not a bad investment.
Problem is we got used to making long investment which the banks offers. We got no choice before but to keep our money in them which we dont know they are the one who is gaining a lot of profit.
Here now with crypto-currencies, you could control it and you can somehow be the manager of your own funds.
You decide, and for me that is good although sometimes you will make bad decisions.
Still there is no regret with that. Try short-term investments with altcoins maybe it could work out with you.

I think not all, there is a very profitable coin, since a year I save ethereum, byteball, litecoin and 5 months ago I joined ICO edgeless and save until now, almost all the coins price skyrocketed.
