Ethereum's price has encountered huge volatility recently too, and overall gambling with cryptocurrencies has double risks/rewards, because the price of a coin might rise or fall after a player deposited it, and shift the total value change of a gambling session to either side. But Bitcoin is a bit less volatile that altcoins, so it's safer to use it for gambling. As for fees, it can be solved by depositing larger amounts once per month, for example, although it requires more self-control to not spend it all too quickly.

Why I should switch to Ethereum for gambling? I do not get the point of your question.

The thing is, it is unimportant whether you gamble in Ethereum or Bitcoin because the coins are exchangable very easy. When I use altcoins to gamble then because I can use much less pool on slots. Most Bitcoin slots requires a pool of at least 1 mBTC. If I want to stake less I just use slots with Dogecoins for instance where pool is 1 or 10 Dogecoins what is around 100 to 1000 Satoshi, thus a lot less.

Bitcoin will be better forever and will not lose its place of its benefits. It do not have any disadvantages for me but still if anyone want to add altcoins to his casino and someone want to gamble with altcoin then it is not bad but will be better for the casino owner and for the players.

You could do an even split between Etherium and Bitcoin to diversify. The will probably both gain value over time and both will also have a lot of price fluctuation in the short term. I like to spread my funds among several coins.

its been a roller coaster but the problems we were faced with bitcoin affected me in a positive way as i gamble less and avoid losing money

Not a chance, so much drama surrounding eth and i have never gambled with it either

Advantages are you grow your bank faster without the need to wait for price to go to the moon and have fun too and the downside of gambling is the risk is high and you lose money fast

When you are gambling your main concern is only on the activity your are doing, what you are saying is for investing.
Actually I heard from my friends that it's cheap to gamble using ethereum as it's faster and lesser fee but I don't try using ethereum yet since I am quite satisfied with gambling bitcoin. As this moment I don't gamble that much so it's not a big deal for me, I am still waiting for my favorite league which is NBA to formally open so I can start betting with big money.

In some way yes, i realized that I was gambling with more money then I used to gamble. I am talking about value of my bets, satoshi amount remained the same...

You don't have to give private information to anyone which isn't the case with fiat gambling sites. Somehow I think this will be regulated in future.

I switched to litecoins 2 months ago, it's ideal for gambling , stable and almost zero transaction fees. Confirmation is less than a minute and I just love gambling with it, ethereum is gradually becoming like Bitcoin so I wouldn't advice you to use that but litecoins.

If your sportsbook is charging you a withdrawal fee it's time to search for a new sportsbook  I haven't seen a sportsbook which accepts any kind of alt coins to be honest after Directbet closed shop. Dice sites might be an exception but I don't play it much anyways.

$3 fee is a lot, but you pay that only if you want your transaction go very fast. Since I rarely in a hurry I can see no point in switching to Etherum. I really don't mind waiting 24 hours or more for the first confirmation because I'm not literally sitting and waiting, I can do other things during that time.

not that much. i always gamble with the amount that i can afford to lose and that amount is also always a portion of my earning so i am still comfortable even with price rise.

no because it is a very unreliable altcoin in my opinion regarding the price and also the network. so i always prefer to keep my ethers on exchanges to be able to dump them as fast as possible and in case i see a pump coming to buy just as fast too.

and if i want to use an altcoin for gambling i would use something that is cheap and has a more stable price and a low fee. a coin such as Doge coin.

I am still using bitcoins to do my betting. I am planning to switch other coins but don't know which is better. You are right now ETH also becoming like Bitcoin so switching to ETH is not a good idea. Better I will switch to litecoin you said it don't have any transaction fee and the confirmation time also very less. So it saves my money and time.

The funny thing is that Etherum raise even more and so it does not make too much sense to gamble with etherum as it is also equally expensive as compare to the past. So if i cant gamble in btc anymore since it is getting too expensive, then i would select other alt coin that is cheaper like dogecoin etc.

Not really, still betting the same as last time but with a lower bet amount to maintain my bankroll. I don't have any plans of switching because if bitcoin's price crashes ethereum will start to go down too. Greatest advantage of bitcoin gambling is the no confirmation deposits and the greatest disadvantage on a bitcoin gambling site are those that kyc their players.

No it doesnt affect but sometimes confirmation times does took soo long when using up bitcoin specially when theres a congestion on network just like on FJ you can both use Bitcoin and Etherium on playing games on the site which means its people preference on what would they gonna use. Talking about disadvantage i cant see anything since they are both crypto that can be used to play gambling.

to avoid the fees yes use altcoin is good but it does not change everything from my gambling activities because i'm not the gamblers with huge amount of capital so the fees aren't problem for me but indeed to get fastest confirmations of transactions i usually use Doge or Litecoin but i'm not so often using those altcoin

correct,for trader,this situationmake them crazy and confuse about bitcoin price,it stable almost in one month,but i am sure it will not ffected for gambler,people playing gambling for money,and doesn;t care about bitcoin price,if bitcoin price going up when they won gambling,it was bonuses.
Etherum is good choice for gabmbling,i think it will same as bitcoin for gambling.

Many gamblers are migrating themselves to ETH now. I think the main reason are the expensive fees they must pay to transact Bitcoins, so AltCoins are a cheaper option to move from one to another site. But they could use any AltCoin, so why are they using especially ETH? Because the price volatility that is always increasing and sometimes fast? I think so.

I believe when Bitcoin be improved with the updates that are going to be done soon everything will come back to the normal and people will start gambling with Bitcoin again.
