If we were all inmortal would religion die?

In the ream of Immortality there is no religion! If we would live forever or in the state were we would live without death there is no religion. Human beings are not pure enough to lead a church that is immortal and religion is a product of this earth and because of this man worship, prayed and atone for their sin because of fear of death and the consequent judgment.

Let say that we will live forever because of being immortal but  it doesn't that we can be free with any problems and challenges.
To pray is one way to have peace of mind and have faith to continue moving forward.

i think some people would still go to church or any kind of religion related places. cause i think religion not only for a better life on the afterlife, but religion is place where people confess their sin and a place for a forgiveness. so i believe even we are immortal religion would still exist for some people and for some reason.

If we be all immoral, we all gonna die, yes, but sooner, it better to be modest and try keep up some good things in life, until we all say goodbye forever, one by one - it surely will happen. As for religion, say goodbye to it and start living.

Completely perfectly agreed with you. Humankind have a tendency to believe in some creators called god and This stuff help people to handle their existence problems. For that reason whether we are immortal or not we want to believe in holy stuff.

Yeah. Immortality doesn't mean that we are in control entirely of how we're going to live. Many aspects in life woukd still be beyond our control and that means we're going to look to something to make meaning out of whats happening to us

No, i don't think so, us just that religion will look more plenty,people will turn themselves to God, doing as if they are the creator... There will be a lot of unnecessary religion that are not valuable..

Im not sure that many people want immortality at all. Sure maybe when your young you want this and believe its possible. However as you get older and more tired I would assume this might change. As we get older, our health fails. Sure you might be alive, but unable to see, unable to remember, unable to speak. Not sure I'd want to live forever.

For me, immortality is not a big deal to me. I will still need guidance through religion because we are still going to experience worst things in life that we are not that strong to face even if we are already immortal.

The reason why we are mortal today is because we're still alive on earth, the day you die you become immortal and religions ends that day a man dies. There is no religious activities in heaven it only exist on earth.

I sincerely highly doubt that because people who pray generally do so get accepted into a good after life and also to show mercy. This is because us mortal souls are no match for death and we need some sort of savior to help us out. Take death away and you will have people who have no need for a higher purpose or power or soul because there soul is now all powerful and will exist forever.

This is a good hypothetical question. Let me answer this by saying, Religion will still exist even if we are immortal. Religion will also adapt into changes, new rules and new teachings based on the idea of immortality. Things will also changes according to the need of immortality. Faith, will still be faith and it wont change, but, only few will have it if we will be immortal.

Faith came from the need of men to serve and be given immortality in the afterlife. If there we were to be immortal, then we'd no need for a god to cling to, instead men will fight for superiority, making themselves gods

I think people would lose his faith in religion if we were all immortal. Because there is no afterlife like heaven and hell. So there's no point to do good things and praying  because there is no heaven.

I have seen religious clerics exploiting the poor people in the name of disease and suffering. I have seen Indian babas (self-declared gods) fooling the illiterate people by claiming that if they don't believe in their power, then they will suffer misfortune and disease. And I have also seen Christian priests fooling people by claiming that diseases such as cancer and AIDS can be cured with gospel music and prayer.

We can never be immortal. God has created death and has given everyone of us a certain amount of time to live in this earth. All the shit the media tell us about science and that they have found a cure which can bring us immortality are only fairy tales. Death will catch us no matter where we are. If we become immortal what's the point going to church so I think no , no one will go to pray anymore but that is impossible as I already said.

I don't think it will die. It already was planted to us and so it will remain and root into our inner selves. Being immortal means someone powerful up there has created us. That will always be a question only religion can answer. Existence.
