1) all who bought btc higher than $2200, you can always tell your wife they involuntary downgraded us, I will make them pay for it.

Gtx 1080 and 1080tis are almost the only gpus that have not been pumped up by this gpu frenzy. An all time low for a gtx 1080 was i think 490$ on amazon, you can find it now for 540$ and lower, the difference is even less in percentage for the 1080tis, these two cards are some of the only survivors if this market crashes.

I don't think he is dreaming, think about how many 1080 ti were purchased and now they are close to useless, imagine if those people got huge amounts of loans and the only way to pay is to sell each card at a loss, that is acting desperate, not for $200 but for $400 - $500 you might see them.

1080 ti is only good for skein and look at skein, its already a 100% crash. Right now a 1080 ti does $2.50 on skein, remember when it was doing $10?

all my cards are paid off.  I can simply  turn them off  and wait for the bounce.

1080ti is good on almost every other algo, its one of the best cards for equihash, its good on decred, lyra2rev coins, OK on eth hash (not the most money efficient card tbh). it should earn 4$ per day (or more) on equihash currently. Also most people i saw mining with 1080tis are people who already have them in a gaming rig or a rendering rig or whatever, a lot less people bought 1080tis for mining than 1070/1060s, certainly much more less than the rx series

Come on, your 1080 ti can't be all paid, matter of fact I dont think is 30% paid and that is assuming you had an amazing profit past 30 days. Tell us when you bought and then show us the receipt as a proof. I will only believe if i see it.

I have one big question, this has been bothering me for years:

Bloomberg says bitcoin is booming, everyone runs and buys some mining gear.

Bloomberg says silver is booming, fuck I could easily buy every metal detector there was left.

Now, when I launch this miner it only detects gold. No sign of silver. Can it dual mine silver and gold?

Everyone is freaking out because currently their rigs still make almost twice as much money as they were in january, its just weeding out weak hands

Whales at this time is just paying the electricity of millions of miners around the world, whales helping miners and noobs since 2009. Noobs finally are getting the money to pay off bits of loans. Noobs are relieved, they can one more month breath hehe

the main reason smart ppl are freaking out is old heads know this is just the tip of iceage
with the nerf to rx cards , most large farms have alot of those cards so on top of that the expected additonal 30 loss of hash, add in the metropolis nerfs all I can say is thank god its at least this is happening in fall.

and dont think it will be easier to switch to other algos since all the rx cards willl be turned towards equihash pascal etc , Only nvidia only farms are in a good position now

Think about it, these people who were holding on to coins that they worked hard to get willingly donated it to people selling dreams.  The ico people don't give a shit and start selling pulling capital out of the crypto space that would have happily chilled and appreciated over time.

Anyway after the games are over we will be fine.  Sure mining is going to suck eventually but we knew that before the pump and this pump made everyone lots of money except the last minute noobs rushing to get in on it.  If you have a bunch of hardware on credit then use that as learning experience, and maybe get a 2nd job moping floors to pay it off ;P
