Bitcoin Garden: CoffeeCoin Token Sale Raises Over 4,375 Waves in First 48 Hours
https://bitcoingarden.org/coffeecoin-token-sale-raises-4375-waves-first-48-hours/

Specialty coffee project CoffeeCoin.io has already raised over 4,375 Waves in just the first two days of its ten-day token sale.

The project is using its Waves-based CoffeeCoin as a utility token for its blockchain-powered coffee trading platform and tools.

According to founder James Allen, the high participation rate during the first 48 hours means the sale is off to a very positive start.

“This influx of participants at the very beginning of the token sale says to me people see the value in what we are doing – and are willing to support it,” says Allen. “We’re very grateful to all those who came aboard early and are looking forward to the final tally.”

Hi,
to ensure that your platform and the entire business chain work consistently, you need a constant pool of participants. How many companies are already participating in your platform, how many counterparties, countries?

Can I ask you why you made the decision to collect waves for coffeecoin? Do you going hold these waves long-term to fund you're project with the potential rise in price for waves next year?

Thank you for your questions.

Short answer: We are accepting Waves for the CoffeeCoin token sale because we are using and fully support their platform.

CoffeeCoin is built on the Waves platform. Our dev partners at OceanLab.eu are also Waves-based. Besides being able to instantly create a tradeable voucher token,  our CoffeeCoin was immediately able to function as data carrying utility token as well.

In fact, we have already integrated CoffeeCoin into our prototype trading platform at CoffeeChain.io. No other platform would have allowed us to create our own token that we could use in all these ways so quickly and easily - allowing us to focus on applying this technology to our area of expertise - coffee.

Yes, of course we will use tokens earned to fund development of our project. Our roadmap is in our whitepaper at https://CoffeeCoin.io

Hope this helps!

- James

Readed in the whitepaper about that farmers and roasters can use coffeecoin to crowdfund sales and purchases of coffee lots.
Though this is very interesting to learn about.

How can i imagine how that should work if i invest in coffee lots.

Hi Dev,
tell me, if you reduce the number of intermediaries and, accordingly, the fees of the commission decrease, how does this affect the price of coffee for the end user?

Im trying to figure out how much Cof will we get in return for each waves. Is the 31.2 million Cof a constant number?

is it reasonable to assume that 31.2 million Cof divided by the total number of waves raised is the amount of Cof we will get in return?

If yes, than in your video you say over 6000 waves raised. thats around 5000 Cof per waves.

also lets say that if you raise 10000 waves than that formula becomes 31.2 mil divided by 10k = 3120 Cof per 1 Waves

imo it is cheaper to take part in the crowdsale than it is to purchase from Waves DEX atm
