Is this normal for Feathercoin right now or should I be worried? This is the first time I have fired up my FC client for days and it's quite a large transaction.

Anything I can do or is it a matter of waiting?

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

It's dead.. no one is mining it anymore, no new blocks are found and therefore your transaction will not be confirmed...

next re-estimate is too far away:

At the moment it's normal as we are a bit short on hashing power.

If there are any miners that fancy lending some hashes for a couple of days to get the confirmations flowing again and help with the diff re-target (even if only for a short while) head over to http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?topic=364.0 and join the list of helpers...

BushStar thinks it's the low hashrate.

Come on guys, rally that hashrate back up for papa.

Yesterday I was transferring around some FTC and it took 6 hours for 6 confirmations. I literally watched the market crashing while I tried to transfer coin. Everyone ran from the coin so there's no hash rate.

I also did a couple different transactions and ramped up the donation amount, didn't help at all.

Stupid frustrating.

Yeah, confirmations are a bit slow, but some people are still mining.  They're attempting to rally.

I've been able to push transactions, slow, but still possible.

Convince a few thousand people to start mining an unprofitable coin for several days to hit re-target.

Thanks for dropping by TheSwede75 Smiley

While we are looking at technical solutions some members started a rally and asked others to join in. It seems that some are willing to contribute which really shows some community spirit. It is good to see some people who do not just mine for profit like myself.

I want to see diff back to 0.27, not 27. If I helped this would not happen.

I thought I should mention that it will not go to 27 but to 47. The mining stats page does not have a lower limit which I will get fixed.

shouldn't it go to like difficulty 1-2 with only 750 kh/s network speed?

once they solve all the blocks to get up to the difficulty change, it'll probably go down quite a bit, but until then.. hash and wait!

It's about 730 MH/s

A transaction I made about 2-3 days ago took 3 1/2 hours for 8 confirms. Crossing my fingers that another one I just made confirms in a day...

Hmm... 730MH/s, in which case 27 sound just about right (2.5 minutes per block) (though it will go to 47 first?). I miss the days when litecoin's diff was < 30 Smiley.
