I have a simpler mindset between "hold" and "sell". And I hypothesize that if you continue to keep your bitcoin, you can regain profit in the future, otherwise, if you sell it now, you will lose that money forever, no other opportunity .

If you have iron balls and can wait even until like 5 years then it'd be worth it anyways. Yes,but it would be great if we can predict a price crash,sell our bitcoins when they are high and buy low after the price colapses.We would be  HODL-ing bitcoins again and make some nice profits from the "bear" market.Anyway,only the best traders can predict a bear market.
The upcoming Segwit2x might be the best situation to make such profits(or the price will skyrocket)...

No matter how many times you advice people to hodl their coins, they will do otherwise at the time the price tanks heavily ~ it has always been like that.

I don't think this necessarily is a bad thing as it will allow the smarter people in the market to benefit from the discount sales made possible by rookies.

I am not yet willing to enlarge my position (have enough coins already), but will definitely do so if the price ends up tanking deep under the $2000 mark in the coming weeks.

you did the most logical thing. it is stupid in my opinion to never sell anything the same way it is stupid to sell everything just because price dropped a small percentage!

you buy when things are calm and low then sell a small amount to celebrate your profit and then shut your eyes and ears to all the drama caused by small fluctuations in short term.

result: you will have a lot more money than those day traders trying to beat the market.

In this trying times, traders took advantage of it. They see it as a perfect opportunity to get bitcoin because the price is currently down. And I don't feel worried at all because of the price crash. I will just hold and not to listen to people telling to sell on our bitcoin. I have hold on it for a time being and this dip won't make me doubt that the price can still recover in the next coming days.

I never know about it before,bitcoin is not a tree,a plant,an animal so it wont grow as you described before.everybody have their own method to get/earn bitcoin other than trade it.also,what does that mean 'do not invest' ? When they're holding it and keep it safe until someday or goal and the sell it for profit,what we called it ?

Indeed,for somepeople holding bitcoin is not a wise action because you can 'earn more' if you use it for trading.but if every people have the same thougt what will happen ? Doesn't that mean bitcoin prices will go sideways or even down ?
Everybody have their method and know what they do,just support bitcoin for the future.

The problem is that people don't understand how this market works, and even though they proceed with buying themselves some coins, and thus literally exposing themselves to the volatility, they still get shocked and sell as result. It's always funny to see that when the price goes up, there are noobs saying that they made x profit on y peak, but as soon as the price goes down, they completely change from "pro trader" to noob crying about the price that has gone down with 5-10%. It says a lot about the people participating here in this forum. It's all big talk with no actions to back it up....

Lol, you will use your money for waste if still hold Bitcoin when know it can breakdown to low price. Why not sell it and waiting good price to buy again and earning extra amount for holding long-term? I think it better than hold hold hold everytime
