Our team won at the "Blockchain: the new Russian oil" hackathon in Kazan, Russia. The price was personally given by Vitalik Buterin!

At the hackathon we took a case from VEB (Vnesheconombank) and created a storage system for mortgage securities. The case was selected at the hackathon, so we had no preliminary drafts. We received the highest score for technological realization, which brought us victory. There were many teams at the hackathon and, like us, they were all working from scratch

Two Decades On: Perspectives from the Asian Financial Crisis: New Risks and Opportunities Take Shape

On Tuesday, September 12, the BankEx team, including CEO & Founder Igor Khmel, traveled to Hong Kong to attend a forum dedicated to discussing the Asian financial markets. Organized by S&P Global Market Intelligence / S&P Global Ratings, the event featured a number of prominent S&P speakers covering a wide range of topics including sovereign rating, the nexus between banking and real estate, and the evolution of capital markets.

While attending the forum, Igor Khmel discussed BankEx's ability to drive new sources of capital for real assets with publicly auditable decentralized banking. Upon highlighting that the Asian markets have been bullish for the past eight and a half years, one of the longest runs, Igor commented that BankEx is "building a new stage in financial market evolution," therefore BankEx remains very much "optimistic about the future".
