Hi there,

Noob question here:

Every time I launch cgminer I get "Error -1: Getting Device IDs <num>"

But then it mines just fine. However, I'm about to add a second 7950, and in order to tune the cards differently, I assume I need a way to reliably tell which card is which?

Is there a way for me to correct this error, so that cgminer always knows specifically which device is which?

e.g. If I want to set GPU clock differently for each card, this could cause problems if cgminer makes one gpu device 0 one time, and the same gpu device 1 another time, right?

I'm on Windows 7 with Gigabyte 7950's

Thanks!

It was related with drivers first time I saw that on a pc. Try with 13.1 or 13.2 catalyst drivers.

Maybe you'll need to unistall current ones for better result. Try standar clocks to guess if your card is runnung well, an after that test with overclock to no mixing problems.
