blockchain.info is the site hosting all the Bitcoin's transactions, your question seems strange because this info is almost known by everyone almost. The blockchain wallet is one from the safest online wallets (where you can receive and send bitcoins).

Really, this is a strange question. Because usually people who are new to bitcoin will definitely use blockchain.info for their wallet and blockchain.info is a very secure bitcoin wallet.

First you should check this wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blockchain.info
Always do research first in google because google is a big place where we can almost see the answer about our question..
The site you mention is safe never experience or heard to someone that blockchain are scammer or any related issue.
The site also had blockchain explorer where you can see all transactions you made or other bitcoin user..
Blockchain is just not a wallet you can also seen the updated chart of price of bitcoin or chart about the difficulty of  bitcoin..

Maybe his pertaining on error on logged in just like forgetting his password and yes he should elaborate even more what error does he experiencing so that community would able to tell him what would be the best solution. Knowing blockchain.info wallet i dont have bad experience on using it and this is actually my first web wallet which i do store my bitcoin earnings most people said thats its not good to store up on this wallet but still i do have trust on the security of this one specially now that you do have already the possesion of your own private keys.

I much appreciated what you believe. So far, I came to know Blockchain.info is secure, maybe too secure. I've been recommending this wallet to use, after a little survey you can easily find out Blockchain.info such a secure online wallet that have better security elements rest of the others online wallet.

What is this site ?

can some one please explain to me ? Huh

I've read a lot about blockchain.info wallet here and there are mixed opinions on it, but if you ask me it's totally fine, tho you'll just have to adjust the fees. Honestly, I've been using it for a few years now on my pc and on my android and I'm satisfied, never had any problems on their side.

Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

I'm opposite with this idea, blockchain.info wallet can be trusted for small amounts only, I dunno if you not wondering that blockchain.info is not on the list of bitcoin.org wallets. Because they are not totally safe. And what's this "better security elements" they have you are saying here? Wondering if whats that  Roll Eyes

The thing that got me interested in using blockchain.info is because it became the most popular web wallet and there is a private key option (correct me if I'm wrong).

No they don't give you private key of your bitcoin addresses in their wallet (HD wallet) but you can import bitcoin addresses from other wallets or from paper wallet there and you can access private key of those imported addresses later on.

No, it wont be a commercial since almost people on this forum does know about blockchain.info but yet there are still some newbie do really have blank knowledge about this one. You can actually search up on what is blockchain.info and google is always your friend and also just read the FAQs you will already answer your question but since OP do made questions then I would answer. Blockchain.info is an online web wallet which you can purely make it to store/send/receive bitcoin, its isn't an exchange wallet or whatsoever.

Self explanatory ? It is an online storage for your bitcoins.Nope, they don't have control over your private keys as it is generated client side.

I read some where, it is not safe to store things on websites.
Yes,you got the right.Always use a lightweight desktop wallet like electrum.

So is it safe ?
Well,it's safe until hacked. They aren't a scam but since most of their operations happen online, their servers are always prone to all sorts of attacks from Ddos to payloads. They have been a victim of Ddos before and you never know what risks they carry since you''re trusting them with your money.Having said that, not only blockchain.info but every online 3rd party service is vulnerable.

Since its a web wallet i think its not really safe to hold a large amount of bitcoin anytime we can be lose a lot of bitcoin there..
The best that i think we can be safe wallet that you can generate your own private key and you can generate a paper wallet including the privatekeys..
Like electrum wallet that you can backup your privatekey so that you have access to your address once the app was crash ..

Decided to end it with zer0 profit.
