Is something supposed to happen August 1st?  I've seen August mentioned numerous times on this forum and nothing is really explained about it.  Is the cryptocoin rapture coming and all the coins are going to disappear into the sky?  Some insight would be much appreciated!!

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Why are people worried about coins being on an exchange?  They simply going to disappear? I have multiple coins such as sia, Ether, Digi, ect.  I should pull all these coins out to a paper wallet?

No, when people are worried about coins being on exchange, they mean bitcoins being on exchanges, because some exchanges might not give people the "Bitcoin Classic" tokens. Altcoins have absolutely no risk.

People are worried about bitcoins on exchanges because if a split were to occur at August 1, exchanges might not give others their bitcoin classic balance. They will not disappear probably but in the case of altcoins, I think it is safe to put it on exchanges because it won't be affected by bitcoin changes in August 1.
