Hiya. I'm new so I probably messed something up. I bought some bitcoins on mtgox a few hours before it went down and sent them to a new receiving address, but they didn't arrive. What's likely happened?

I should add I've done this once before and it worked.

I don't really know how it work, but if the address was right and they were sent correctly, is there any way for them to go missing? There are records of all transactions, right? If bitcoins can go missing and are finite they'll run out, so that seems intuitively wrong, and yet I don't see how anyone else can have them. Huh

And it's suddenly arrived three days later! Bizarre. Oh well, cheers.
