I just emptied my email box, thus most likely all of those 1,676 emails came from Coinbase to an email address I've never proved Coinbase, used ONLY for one specific account on this forum.

What the FUCK! It's now up to over 1,900 emails since I started this thread less than a minute ago, two minutes max since I took the screenshot.

Screenshot of contents of the emailing in a sec.

All the other emails are identical with the exception of the IPs being all different, still in Brazil.

Now over 2,700 emails.

I blame Vod or Vlad. Has to be one of them.  Tongue Tongue Tongue

Okay, I was able to block all incoming and delete everything they sent. Here's the raw data/header:

Did you even try to log-in into your account of coinbase to know whether you will be denied access or not? If you do and your funds are intact then I don't see any problem because what you see might actually be a technical glitch or maybe an attack on your own account which might make it vulnerable. Most hacking don't come with notifications to users to confirm it. It just happen and the funds are gone.

Why would a hack look like that? Seems much more likely that it's some bug.

That definitely looks like some sort of bug. If not it's a targeted attack and you should email support right away. I am using coinbase right now and there aren't any issues. I hope you have two factor authentication at least? Or does coinbase now require that from the get go?

No. Coinbase isn't hacked i am using coinbase at the moment and i have no issues at the moment i think someone knew your password or your e mail might be compromised like  Roll Eyes said you should contact your support or enable 2fa on your coinbase account. Hope this helps

I guess you wanted to say "provided". It doesn't make sense. Even in the case Coinbase has been hacked, how do you want to receive such email notifications to an email adress you never used with Coinbase. Not sure to get it correctly.
The email system of Coinbase is a bit buggy. If you noticed, when you receive a transaction their system send you an email twice for the same thing instead of just one.
Coinbase is fine, otherwise you would see all the news media talking about it

It's more likely you have been hacked rather than Coinbase. Only you or someone with access to your data knows both this email and the email used by coinbase.

Try to reach their support.
Because I do see many people are coming and crying out here without contacting company specific customer care.
If we will not rise ticket about the problem to the service provider then how will they come to know so that they can provide proper solution. It is always good to contact customer support at very first step.

If a site with the same volume of transactions like Coinbase is being hacked as you have rightly portrayed here one thing I am sure of is that the whole crypto space would have felt it and you wont be the only one creating a thread for that purpose but since reverse is the case, I can only but conclude with what others have said that its either your account has been compromised or you personally is compromised because no hacker will give a notice for you to confirm that he wants to steal your money.

I am more inclined to believe that your machine has been compromised and your security breached.
Someone got access to your personal Coinbase account and is trying to hack his way in.
Given the situation, I would advise you to change all your current passwords including your email password to secure back your account fully

That definitely looks like some sort of bug. If not it's a targeted attack and you should email support right away. I am using coinbase right now and there aren't any issues. I hope you have two factor authentication at least? Or does coinbase now require that from the get go?

Its possible that the user or OP is hacked or someone aside from him has access or is accessing his account. Contact support immediately OP if you suspect someone is accessing your account or theres a suspicion of it. Its better to act fast than be sorry.

Change your passwords asap. I think it's more likely that someone got in or is trying to get into your account. Do a virus/malware scan while your at it. Also, make sure you're using 2 factor authentication.

That's impossible because ... wait for it ... I don't have a Coinbase account and never provided them an email address nor any other vitals. I have never contacted them. I have no issues with Coinbase, it's just that I never had a need for their services. I use BitPay in spite of being critical of them on only one issue stemming from Q3, 2013, but I digress.

I concede that 'bug' may be a better word, with apologies if warranted. I don't have a clue as to how any hacker/bugger obtained one of my obscure email addresses, hence the concern.

No malware detected on my laptop.

Thanks, guys, for the comments, with apologies for the single spelling error that was dulllllly pointed out.  Tongue Tongue Tongue

Yu, if anything YOU'VE been hacked, not Coinbase. Since your email is getting spammed, it's likely your system that's hacked.

You've never had a Coinbase account and you think Coinbase got hacked because of these emails? That makes absolutely no sense, don't post threads with such scary titles, this is so stupid.

Seriously, by looking at the topic " Coinbase hacked", I was just like having a heart attack, as I have a lot of saving there. But then reading this shit make me calm and anger too for creating such an unnecessary panic. We are already near the Soft/hard fork and bitcoin cannot afford such type of news  Angry   Please only post authentic News about bitcoin and not fake like this  Angry
