I heard that you should keep your bitcoin in some offline wallet,
And also you should make sure that you don't have coins in any third-party bitcoin wallet's.
Hope this helps and goodluck.

Any offline wallet that let you have full control over your private keys.

I suggest you to use Electrum. It's simple, lightweight and safe.

Don't (ever) store your coins in a web wallet or exchange like Coinbase, Poloniex, etc...

This is a question that has also been on my mind too ever since ths discussion has gotten to a head to the point of a thread created by the  Admin that even after several months of being involved in bitcoin, I have only used online wallets which I believe right now is not the right place to keep coins at this time. Hopefully, the worst won't happen in August 1 so everything can be back to normal within a short period of time.

Well for me. I will still use my Old online Wallet as if it is.. I don't have much bitcoin anyway in my  online wallet. Hope to see the good results on this incoming hard fork again.

I know it's mostly important to use a wallet that allows you control the private key.  Example : jaxx works.
