Ethereum has already gained its popularity. It is difficult to move him from second place. I think that more than one year must pass in order for the Waves to dislodge it. All the rest is PR, no more.
Because ETH has a lot of supporters, it has already fall in terms of price but it still stands in the number 2 spot.
Well, I am expecting it will also be in the no. 1 although that seems very impossible right now, but who knows the future.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I think in my personal opinion that both Waves and Ethereum are good and have a reputable future, But I would rather go for Ethereum than to go for waves. But I really like the both coins anyway.

Waves is a failed blockchain project and it can't be counted as the competitor for ethereum. Sasha was creating nothin' for almost a few years and I remember the waves crowdsale has finished in 2016 and the waves team can't even compete with a new platform. that's horrible for me dude. mercatox is one of the fail product from waves.

it's natural that Ethereum has a lot of support, because right now, only bitcoin, and Ethereum has many common functions. Well, for waves, I think there are still so many developments that need to be done.

I agree and I don't think those developments can't just be done with core team, or it'll be late.

WAVES may be a good platform but it cannot compare to Ethereum at all but maybe to some similar smaller platforms.

Waves is certainly a good coin, but the market has conquered ethereum. It will not be very easy to bite off a piece from this market of smart contracts. The waves project team does not stand still and each time improves its blockchain, but ethereum is also developing, but there are serious problems there. In the future, some of them will come out on top and may even overtake bitcoin.

I doubt that thing that etherium and waves might overtake bitcoin, however they're both potential to rise its value and by its fame to the crypro world, but I believed no ones will replace bitcoin technology because the more years to come the more countries adopt bitcoin. So on these scenario bitcoin will remain survive in long years.

Perhaps waves will replace Ethereum in the distant future by changing its technology to smart contracts and increasing the speed of transactions x10000,but this will not happen soon as Ethereum is very popular for ICO,time will tell.

I do not understand how these projects can be compared. They have different areas of application, as well as teams of very different levels. It's like a professional team with the guys from the yard to compare.

The only potential one is ethereum, waves in the other hand can't even match to ethereum and far below ethereum so why waves can replace bitcoin.
The community base of waves itself is not so huge unlike ethereum and bitcoin so there's just a really small chance.

Ether has already established itself a long time ago, and the waves need time to reach a larger audience and gain momentum.

Because other project has created copycat platform. It has no a new function rather than improve the common function that has available in the bitcoin and ethereum. mostly of projects have been doing this thing and i have seen so many projects were doing it so many times. It's not a surprise for me

Does any one thinks that Ethereum can survive with the rising of Waves? I've heard that "Waves will be the next Ethereum"
For the developers using Waves, the platform provides the high capacity of network and also low transaction collecting and a low delay.

I believe in WAVES. This is a very cool project and although it has questionable moments, as the disappearance of the developers, they are still trying to prove themselves.

I do not lose hope that the Waves will again be engaged in marketing. That Sasha will again go to all conferences. Otherwise, no chance.

if I better join the ETH bounty, because of its good reputation, and I think this is also the time for ETH investments. we can buy and save it. because you believe that in the beginning of 2019 prices will increase again ... there are still investors and various kinds of parties looking for ... hopefully that can be true

still able, while ethereum is still the platform of the bounty, ethereum will still be able to survive in the middle of the waves which also began to show its potential.

Waves is good coin and i am believe the price will rising in 2018. But right now, ethereum have bigger market cap and i think waves have a chance to compete with ethereum. Waves offering smart contract and i am believe waves can compete with ethereum
