The ICO model is too damaged. Now all coins that are genuine and aren't derivative trash and ETH token garbage are going to get questioned immediately only because it's an ICO unfortunately.

Maybe the Byteball model is best? Im not sure anymore. It seems distributing the coins is one of the biggest changes in the game.

You are right to some extent there are some good token ICOs e.g What's Reggie Middleton is doing with Veristaseum but I haven't invested yet as I missed the ICO? I tend to make blanket statements in OP titles but I'm not dogmatic about it. I just think a majority of these tokens won't produce value while the newer platforms and blockchains are likely to be longer term winners.

What I'm saying is and why I mentioned XtraBytes is a platform which is a whole new blockchain and also serves as a platform for future tokens will be the big winners and will make up the top 20 projects in the coming years. Platforms like XtraBytes will have massive demand pit on them in exactly the same way ETH has with its ETH apps. That's why you need to looks for the platforms likeTezos like XtraBytes that will have many modular projects built on top of them. This multiplier effect will explode certain projects.

Blockchain is not going to go anywhere, particularly the bitcoin blockchain. The rest of the blockchains will most likely all die except a few where they still find profit in mantaining it by mining or by staking it. But most coins are useless memes that will get abandoned and hence their blokchains will die as no one ever mines a single transaction ever again or stakes anything since it will all get sold for bitcoin.

Degradation and devaluation of ICO scene is only natural outcome of the state where everyone can start their own ICO without any validation, supervision or control.
Greed is pushing people to both create mediocre project and users to support ICO in anticipation of fast profit. Both sided usually forgets about main vision and long term prospect.

I think so. Many cryptousers wait for August 1. I just think of tokens for ICOs. Are they worth in one or two years. Some of token have no clear roadmap. I doubt about the projects. Are the projects executable or not. I think to make PPC ads platform isn't dificult with million dollars in hands of the developers but till now BAT has no action to realize the project of adnetwork. I think the developers just sell the coin and make money and left the projects. Next time they will create new ICOs and make money again. That's all bulshit.

I do have to agree on the part that ICO is broken.
It seems like the news about it really spread out and almost very coin now do lean on ICO or they made their token for that purpose.
But still there are some coin that got mixed up with this which do have a better purpose than those just milking the ICO.
Now, every coin gets a bad reputation after that.

I think it's best to grow a basket of both types of investments and also diversify into metals and fixed assets. Remember that Crypto currency is still in its infancy and very hardcore experimental stage and so there is a wild west feel to it and it's a bit ad hoc. Having said this there are some really innovative and terrific ideas out there that if get funded and executed properly could be mind blowing both from a technological stand point and through an investor's eyes.

There are some projects that really promising but the shit project already appeared to be followed the successful of the promising project. I agree if the ICO just like a plague right now but not as ethereum that just try to gives the digital infrastructure.

Despite the fact that tokens appear be a thing very new because of ETH,we must not forget the fact that these have taken some time,for example on Nxt platform and for a long time its were called colored coins as I understand,the tokens  are only appearing on different platforms,and indeed perhaps many will have completely lost their value for some time,when the euphoria of ETH has passed surely another platform will be used for the creation of such tokens,that's why peoples have to pay close attention to that detail.

What tokens may be you can mention token that 3-4 month of ICO the price is still rising. Most tokens have high price at the first month, after that dump. That's why the thread say buy token or cryptocurrencies. Eth, waves, NXT are cryptocurrencies. The price rises steadily, Inside eth and waves are tokens. Tokens not really worth after ICOs. Rlc at the first launch 0.0004-0.0005 now 0.00013-0.00014 and other examples.
