It is the future of digital currency since 2009. Since it is invented 8 years ago, everyone knows it has a possibility of having a great price and future. Since it dumped so much in the past and then regained and broke it's past ATH, I think it is a good proof that bitcoin will be going back to it's current price.

None is sure about the next price pumping of bitcoin. Everyone were focused on the August to know what's the scenario of bitcoin in the future. The basic reason behind bitcoin aside it's technology is the faith that the majority of users have in it and that's exactly what has been responsible for its existence up to this day. The bitcoin will surely pump again after that event and I think bitcoin dumping now is normal because many panic sellers are selling their bitcoin because that is the way to secure ad make sure that your bitcoin will be safe after that event. I hope it will be successful.

I was absolutely not worried. Even if the price is low year I won't sell my bitcoins. A lot of people told me that they want to invest their money in bitcoins for the long term. Ive been watching the markets sence bitcoin was 150$/BTC, i have been promoting bitcoin and the use of it for a long time, but why should BTC ever rise again? There have been a peak thru overbuying and now somebody has to pay = coin value drop.

It's hard to get a bitcoin back, it's falling, it's like a flying bird and it's shot by a hardfork. Bitcoin can only bounce back if the hardfork succeeds.

Well, it seems it wouldn't be rising again until after Aug 1. I just dropped again to $1913. And we're not even halfway through July. Till the dust clears, it's going to be a vicious cycle, with more people dumping their coins as they see the price drop. Of course, there would be people who would snag those but I think they will be outnumbered by those trying to flee.

People who'll have more at stake are more likely to jump off. If you have billions, why not risk buying a falling commodity?

Yes, my view also the same. After August 1, we can see many problems will come into settled down so that people will come back and start investing with bitcoin so that bitcoin will be reaching some new lifetime high price levels.

But I do think people will have more faith alone, might have come with more investments that bitcoins. Hence there will be less chances for them to jump off. Your level of confident with bitcoin is the big question here and I'm sure many bitcoin whales will never go out of race.

Yeah maybe it will rise again but no one knows when will it rise again and this thing is certain.
Panic sellers are everywhere and some who wants to get good profit take advantage to this chaos as the exchanges have bloody days recently.

I see that a lot of people here are still optimistic. I just converted half of what I got, and depending on other factors, I may or may not use that to buy cheap bitcoins before finally moving everything to a more secure spot.

What would happen after a hard fork though? A lot of people are believing btc will rise after Aug 1 but in the event of a hard fork, which coin?
