...NO, dammit. stop reading infowars
but now that you are here, grab a seat, and lets discuss this shitshow, its very, very interesting.
so, in the spirit of dear of Seth coming up missing behind those emails, we have another
mysterious death fit for a CSI episode. I present to you the curious case of Mr. Peter Smith:
The Republican operative who committed suicide after speaking to the Wall Street Journal died of asphyxiation and left an all-caps handwritten note that insisted there was “NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER” involved in his death, said CNN on Friday.
Peter Smith, 81, a longtime Republican operative and powerful conservative mega-donor told Journal reporter Shane Harris how he worked with ousted National Security Adviser Mike Flynn in an effort to coordinate with Russian hackers and obtain information about Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Ten days later, Smith was found dead in his hotel room near the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, MN under what appear to be suspicious circumstances.
Officials now say that Smith left behind a road map of documents and the suicide note. The Republican activist said in his note that he was in ill health and that he was about to lose his insurance coverage and therefore decided to end his life. The coroner’s report said that Smith pulled a plastic bag over his head and piped in helium gas until he expired.
Harris told CNN that it’s unclear at this point the extent to which Flynn and Smith were working on the Russian hacking project together or whether Flynn had brought Smith’s activities to the attention of the Trump 2016 campaign. However, there is “no doubt that these men knew each other,” Harris said.
He also said that Smith showed no signs of illness during their interviews less than two weeks before his death.
a few glaring takeaways:
1) killing ones self because of lack of insurance coverage may be more ironic than DTJr getting in trouble for emails, because of emails (thanks RedditMaster! +1 cookie).
2) killing ones self shortly after disclosing information related to a federal investigation, to a news outlet, is well, convenient.
3) this guy was rich enough to donate money to a political campaign. interesting he was so concerned about insurance money. it occurred to me just ow he may have been referring to life insurance, that makes even less sense to me. surely a campaign donor can afford to cover his final expenses, yes?
4) the suicide note is fucking hilarious. i dont usually joke about shit like this, but this is like, movie good.
suicide note had the nerve to say: NO FOUL PLAY WHATSOEVER. just like that. in all caps (you cant identify non cursive writing so good forensically)
really?
well, nothing to see here I guess. this note seems pretty official
So, given that so much was made of Mr. Rich and his untimely demise, how do you guy feel about this poor dude, who to me seems like he got offed because he ran his mouth? and the Clintons would want this guy alive and talking as much as possible, he was spelling out collusion for petes sake, so youll sound like a moron if you try to finger the Clintons with this. Absolutely no motive, they would probably give the guy a medal, if he wasnt so permanently dead.
Thoughts?
man, at least people werent getting 007ed last administration.. fuck strange days ahead. we have arrived
