Errr - this is low-end tech. Why buy sth like this if you can make it on your own ?

Because its very cheap, and it gets you out of trouble and time. (if you dont want to involve)
2dollars each is not big deal for someone to give if he/she doesnt want to make it himself/herself.

ps. and there are some people that have shaky hands
