Hi there

I'm very new to mining so please be gentle.  Tongue

I can't get any mining clients to work because they say that opencl.dll can't be found. My video adapter is ASUS HD7770. I've recently installed the opencl.dll download from the ATI website and it didn't work.

I've tried to research this issue and I found that some others had experienced similar problems but I'm still unclear what the solution is.

If anybody can help then thanks.

You need the OpenCL SDK or Runtime which is usually included in the Catalyst driver package and can be downloaded separately

Read through the FAQ section of this readme and it will make some suggestions as to what versions of Catalyst and SDK you should be running.

Clean install, rip every single amd driver off your system, clean squeaky clean install,

Install your mining software

then the latest Catalyst drivers

once it is installed then install amd app sdk 2.8, it's as good as 2.5 in hash rate without the dummy plugs.

If you think my efforts are worth something; I'll keep on keeping on.

OpenCL SDK 2.8 for a 5770?

Works great on my 5870s and 6970s, I tried it out from 2.5, couldn't let my hash rate go down... but when I tried 2.8 wow, same hash rate as before, and much more stable. I was very happy with the change.
