They are giving everyone a bunch of free ones by the end of this month....you had to have signed up for their newsletter by May 9th though.

I wouldn't invest BTC in ripples now, better to use USD for that purpose. Why ? The ratio of BTC/XPR is very volatile - to put it in words "a better moment might come".
