But what should you do if you only periodically show up to see how your cold storage coins are doing? Tuck you head between your legs and kiss your behind goodbye?

I look at this temporary price fall as opportunity to get some more coins before the price goes up again. It's also good opportunity for traders to make some profit. Instead of complaining each time when price goes down, which is quite normal in volatility process, let's find a position feature in this and take the chance that was given.

Bitcoin going under 1800 USD is not a surprise, even going under 1500 USD. It seems August 1st is really intimidating and many weak investors are starting to sell their coins, pity. As to what they say, as bitcoin goes downward, the stronger it becomes. Some people are just not learning their lessons.

In all honesty, i still don't understand why one BTC is more expensive than Gold, Silver etc, share or worth $2,000. I think that the speculation before the fork will result in it going below $800 before a sharp recovering or it going back to under $500. But we are at the point now where the price has inflated to such unbelievable levels, with uncertainty about a major event that could, in theory, render the coin worthless. Because of the heavy reliance on speculation that traders take, this leads me to conclude that the fall will happen and i'd sell out now enjoy any gains made so far, with a view of buying after the dust settles.

im not the one causing speculation about whether this established and relatively stable, alternative and innovative option towards fiat should fork. I love the concept of VCs and they are the future, its just that this fork situation will cause unnecessary panic and negative coverage (which has already started in the mainstream media), which will logically (and we already see this happening) lead to a fall in the gains made over the last couple of months.

We understand than I think most of the members here. The uncertainty surrounding Aug 1 date is real, that's why some investors are really dumping their bitcoin. But its their call. Others panic, while most people are keeping it calm and not be affected by this negativity. Because most of us really believes that bitcoin will overcome the situation, and the price will go up again once the dust has been settled after the activation.

realistically there is no uncertainty at all, we haven't even started signalling BIP91 the date for it is set for 21 July.
And then Bip91 will be activated on July 25 and USAF on 1st August won't happen. People are going crazy for no reason.
Like many times before FUD is simply dulling people's minds. Op is totally right, buy cheap coins while there is still chance.

I have a feeling many people will fall for the Alt-coin Segwit craze dumping their BTC, then  Bitcoin Classic will come steemrolling right past like a Locomotive. Bitcoin Classic is a ROCK.

Buying when all people scared market and selling when all people happy with profit, this is my rules and helps me make good profit when trading.

I guess the price not stop with price $1800, if crash under $1700, the price can falldown to $1500-$1200 or $1000, but can't under $1000 because if that happens become true, maybe Bitcoin failure all Smiley

Fud will always be an effective way of getting a whole lot people to panic sell their coins. Positive side effect is that these fluctuations greatly contribute towards attracting liquidity from traders. On another note, the problem with most of the newbies is that they tend to go all in, which basically means that if the price goes down, they haven't got a single penny left to use. As always, these newbies will sell their coins in panic at lower levels, where after a while they buy their coins back at higher levels. It's a never ending cycle. It aint easy being a newbie. Cheesy

I agree we are focusing on the wrong subject here people need to see this as an opportunity, not the other way round and it looks like the price has rallied back to go over the $2000 mark, people saw an opportunity to buy cheap bitcoins and they took it. The cheap price definitely triggered the buy button (demand button ) for some buyers

No doubt, a wise thing to do is to take advantage of the dips.

After all, I see that bitcoin price will increase again to the price we won't expecting. Buying dips requires extras ammos that's why don't just buy but try to cope up and play with the price. Right now, price is able to stand it's low and succefully climb again the $2,000 mark.

This day is the best days for the people who waits for the big dip happen since they can accumulate more btc since the fuds and happenings are still occuring, And theirs a lot of possibilities that they will surely await for the day to get close to august before they would buy some. So for us to earn with this we should try to grab some money and buy for this oppurtunity given by the fall.
