These times are when speculation is at the worse. The general atmosphere is people expect something, so the minute the price drops everyone sells. A few people buy when there's a minor uptrend, and everyone gets caught up in it and starts buying.

Past few days the graph has been swinging wildly, the expectation is for it to do so until August first week.

I suggest sell, stop looking at the numbers for the next weeks - mind some other business The reason is the market needs to stabilise - and 1800$ seems to be the right price, because that was the time when ether started to rise rapidly and took bitcoin with it. A lot value right now is just gas, and the volatility makes that obvious.

I doubt it will go 1500$, as you can see it touched 1800$ and it's back and it's rising already 2000$+, so don't really expect it to break the 1800$ mark, if it falls again buy In small quantities, so over a period of time you shall have a good average which will give you good returns over a period of time. However don't be dependent on the dump last time when it got dumped to 800$ and people expected it to dump further, it shot up to 2.5k in a very short while, so buy at every fall, you never know when it shoots up.

the more number of throwaway newbie accounts you guys create to repeat doomsday theories about bitcoin price, the more sure i become that the drop is near the end of its course and you guys are getting desperate for cheaper coins.

I think it's better if you buy bitcoin now if you have the capital but don't buy them all in bulk, diversify or divide the budget you have intended to buy bitcoin and buy them everytime the bitcoins price dips. That's called averaging too.

Yes I also think like that, the prices have decreased very much in the last few weeks. I think if we buy bitcoin now it will be able to get profit when the price goes up even though the price is close to $ 2000 but I do not think it will be under $2000.

It might be better waiting until a day or two before if you're going to buy pre-split though because I think even more will start to worry and panic leading up to it. Alternatively, you could hedge your bets and split it 50/50 for before and after or wait to see how the market reacts post-split.

in my personal point of view , the split wouldn't happened. even though a lot of people have been discussed about how the probability of bitcoin split. considering a lot of factors , i think most bitcoin stakeholder wouldn't let this split happened in the end. and we hope so right? to buy it now while cheaps aren't a bad decision at all for me.

This is anybody's guess, if you are really hesitant you could maybe split and buy half of what you were going to now and then half after August then you won't have really lost out, there is so much talk about it splitting, not splitting it is going to be one of the most exciting times since I have been part of bitcoin.

And the happens you think can't become true is happening in past days. The price of Bitcoin had crash to $1900 and still around in this price 3 hours. But then, the price recovery very fast to $2000. I guess in next time we still have a crash make the price falldown to $1500 or $1200

Buy before 1st august is a good time, but to buy now i think you're late because the price is on the rise. But i guess this will continue to increase, if you intend to buy it now i think there is no harm too. Good luck!

Most definitely buy before August 1 as we can see the prices are plummeting. Naturally, buy low sell high. This is a prime opportunity to buy, but you have to be fast.

Honestly, why would you like to do this? The price is already on an increase and will likely be for the coming few months. It will probably hit the 4000$ mark and maybe even extend all the way up to the 5000$ mark if we are lucky.

I completely agree with you, but I do not think that selling now is such a good idea. The bitcoin network cant just crash.... We will see it return to its normal operation after August 1.

I think it is better to buy bitcoin after august 1 because if we notice while august 1is approaching the price is also decreasing. However, if you are hesitating to buy but, you have enough funds then you could spend the half of it.

I do not know if bitcoin will go that far, but now prices are down and better to buy now. Or if you still expect lower prices you can wait a few more days, maybe it could reach $ 1,500. I think this is the best choice. Because if we buy after 1 August we will not know the price will rise or fall. I don't think bitcoin could drop back to $1300-$1500 again, and I guess $1820 will be the lowest price of bitcoin at the moment, if you missed that chance then you should wait for another decrease.
Never spend all of your capital, divide into some amounts and buy 1-2 times before August 1st, and buy more than 2-3 times after August 1st whwther it will rise up or decline as bitcoin suppose to increase after segwit activated.

- No you are wrong with this, price might not go below $1500 anytime soon.
- Just buy whatever you can get below $2000
- You can buy whenever price will get below the above range but try to get it before hardfork so that you can get coins in both chain.
