I got into altcoin trading just recently, a week or so ago. Honestly I never dealt with exchanges before and this is all new to me but it's both fun and very stressful. I'm not a big time player, in fact I started out with nothing and just mined some Hush, sold that and bought ARK/Waves/Shift/Espers. I own maybe $500 worth of coins right now lol, but I plan to increase this. However stress is getting to me. I keep checking the prices, trying to buy low and sell high and I do that at work now as well and even dream about it. I dreamed Espers was getting pumped and my exchange closed Espers trading and I woke up all pissed off and sweaty and cursing the non existent exchange. I'm not very interested in the tehnology I just want to trade as I find that a lot of fun. But I need to deal with the stress somehow

beer+fags+never invest more than you can afford to lose (mind you I sold 80BTC @ $2AUD each and 18000 LTC for $160AUD some years ago so I'm not the best person to provide advice )

I hold. Buy low , set exit point and never sell until price reach the target I wanted or until I think profit is enough and time to move on to a better/stable project.
Never lost a dollar on any coin.

If you really want to deal with stress just check the prices once or three times a day, and hold it until you get profit. Watch out for news about the exchanges you use, so that you wont get pissed off next time and lastly, have fun doing other recreational activities in real life besides trading and being in front of your computer all day.

If you don't want to stress, have a plan and stick to it.
Assess the situation, inform yourself about the news surroundings your investments, and use the information you have gathered to make a decision.
What are the factors that will have an influence on the price of a coin in the short, medium and long term? Answer these questions then you will be able to make informed predictions: how much you want to risk in a given coin, how low or high does it have to go before you buy or sell it, ... . Keep yourself up to date with the news in case some factors have changed or new ones have come into play.
If you don't want to bother with all that but still want to trade then you can also just stick to technical analysis, the "art" of drawing lines on charts and stuff. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, if you keep that in mind then you won't risk much money in a trade unless you are very confident about your prediction. Open a position, put stop-loss/take-profit orders then go on with your day
And if you just want to trade then take it as a hobby and not as your new job because more likely than not you will lose money in the beginning before you get more experienced about the risks involved (the more things go wrong the more you realize that what you thought were certainties just weren't so)
If you don't deal with that stress but keep on trading every day then after a while it will eat you alive and make you broke. And there is the usual "don't invest more than you can afford to lose", if you can see what you're doing as a game and a gamble then you will be much less stressed about it.

I agree if you are really experienced trader that would you do, and that is the right thing. Though those newbie they are selling their coins at also low so they get any profit from it hence they losses they capital from it. Hold is the best way and the is the a test to your patience on what will you do, if you can hold it in a period of time until the price pumps then that is really good and you can earn a ton of profit from it.

It's much less stressful if it's money you can afford to lose. imo that should be the main piece of advice.

Well I am not stressing about prices going up and down. I believe they will recover and I'm not selling stuff because it goes down. I'm a miner, what I mine is what I use to play with at exchanges. I invest my mined coins into something that I believe is a better project. Maybe my $500 is not much for you guys, but I just started out a month ago and the prices have crashed a lot so it will only grow. Having to check prices constantly is what's starting to consume me.

The best way to make your stress get away just find new activities it will more nice if you hangout with your friend and start learn something new.

During that 6 month, a lot of mega jump may happen and you may loose significant funds.. Holding coins without daily checking/analyze isn`t smart way..

But I need to deal with the stress somehow When it comes to crypo trading, you just have to be on top of the web page and even refreshing every now and then because the rate at which price changes is something that one could end up making loss just by not being timely. But the way to do that is to use bots but you need to understand and study it very well as it could also be an haphazard decision to make but it will save you the stress of having to check the direction of price every time.

Why he is saying buy the coin, hold or forget for 6 months means he is observing market flow from last few months or years and checking how the coins will grow in 6 months of period. That is why he is saying. it means long term investment. And you also right in the middle of this 6 months we have chances to miss good opportunities many times. So you buy coin to hold 6 months but keep checking the updates don't sit ideally.

If you are really enjoying on trading you should not think it too much inspite on stressing out yourself its much better to follow the essential steps on doing trading. Buy low sell high just like that. Stress would be more if you do see that all of your coins are on negative which if its your first time you would really panic and cut loss for sure and you should really be ready on this one because it does give more stress than on the thing you are experiencing as of now.

buy into promising project like ark and withdraw to your wallet then vote for someone to get more ark. No reason to flip flop and check into it often, crypto and stock go up and down, there shouldn't be stress over it.

How to eliminate the stress of each person is different, I eliminate the stress by channeling my hobby by riding a motorcycle, sometimes I also meet the woman of my dreams, after which my stress is gone and I feel refreshed again.
