Who knows? Right?  Even if we are just talking about bitcoin we wont already know and we cant able to identify who holds majority of coins. Seeing that the cryptomarket is somehow vast and its anonymous we cant really pinpoint who holds the huge number of coins.

Forward your question to NSA, nobody here can answer this.

I believe this is what he is looking for. Luckily I didn't have to track down anyone from the NSA.

Probably not.you wont see any exchanges in the top 100 because they most likely keep their earnings and account balances in multiple addresses. On the off chance they get hacked and someone tries to steal all the coins, you'd be basically handing them a bag with everything you own if everything was on one address.

Hmm...  that makes sense.

I now see that #2 address has been marked to be Bitfinex cold wallet. I suspect some others would belong to other exchanges as well. If they're splitting their balance in multiple cold wallets, then also the holdings of those wallets must be huge considering how many coins these exchanges have.

Definitely possible, I know for sure when MT.GOX was running they had a lot of bitcoin in cold storage, but also a massive amount in hot wallets because of the vast majority of people constantly withdrawing and depositing bitcoin.

wow, that's really a tough question to answer,
for bitcoin, a lot of trade have been done since they were cheap, so the whales might have sold at one point
for ETH, a lot of the original team still holds a lot, but big ICOs CEOs also probably hold quite a lot

This is an extremely difficult question to answer ...the thing is we know when whales buy up the ICOs because we can see it happening. With other coins, its hard to sell cause anyone could be slowly accumulating.

The important thing to know is there are definitely whales in any coin you are in. Operate with that knowledge and make choices accordingly

Not a tough question at all, there are currently 10 major investors in the entire crypto, 3 are independent individuals and 7 are some large companies.
0.05% of holders almost hold 90% of all the coins, if you know the markets for 40 years, you'd know just by looking at charts, there are only 2 types of investors.
1-Big ones(whales) pumping everything hard with serious cash above $500m and then dump more than $500m to take their profits out.
2-Idiots thinking they'll get rich fast, half will actually reach somewhere while millions are in the move and half are the ones paying all those profits.

I think checking richlist also doesnt make sense. I dont think the ones that have more than 100 btc have only 1 wallet. They probably using a few wallets dividing the risk.

Would be more interesting if you threw in some names if yourself are aware of them, also quite dissagree that 0.05 of Holders hold 90% of coins, chances are extremely slim.

I am suggesting to my self,
About 50% top 10.
20% between top and low.
30% it is better to try ICO and very low price crypto.
