There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

No offense, but as a noob I've got a few questions for you:

What type of prices are we looking at?

Do you accept escrow?

Do you have any pictures of the goods?

Posting pics out in the open would be much simpler and will get you a lot more potential buyers. Keeping everything public will also make you seem a lot more trustworthy than just a newbie with 5 activity points.

I'm interested in the silver coins/bars. What do you have?

Do you ship to australia? If yes, how much will the shipping, insurance etc. costs be? Also of course, any escrow on the transactions as ikilledcobain said? If you really don't want to reveal these info in the open, please PM me.

Thanks

It goes without saying that everybody reading this thread should use escrow. Do not send bitcoins to this person upfront.

Escrow only. Don't fall for tricks such as "deposit 1 bitcoin first and pay the rest later when you get the "gold" bars".

If he refuses to use escrow, then he is a scammer. A fraudster. A thief.

Rep on other forums is fairly meaningless here.

Posted this in another thread, but it applies here too:

I'm not posting this to cast doubt on the OP, but just a general warning for anyone buying bullion online.

Here are a few tips to make sure you're not getting scammed:

https://www.moneymetals.com/precious-metals-buying-guides/how-to-test-gold-and-silver-at-home

It's extremely easy to buy tungsten filled gold coins off of Ali Baba (I've done it myself).

They don't pass the 'ping' test, though (see above link).
