It just means some miners have mined blocks with a version number that is unknown to whatever software you are using - presumably Bitcoin Core.

Any reason why they started to signal SegWit2x earlier than expected? Is it some kind of drill.
Also I love this little disclaimer from Coindesk on how CoinDesk is always a subsidiary of something, someone, whatever and they are linked to everything in cryptocurrency ecosystem.

BTC.COM was neutral so far, they switched to SegWit2x (NYA) yesterday, so now it's all BitMain plus allies minus Bitfury hashpower, so more than 50%.

Even if there was a Bitcoin hard fork it wouldn't phase me. There might be just a little price instability in the markets but then having two Bitcoin Coins would make the developers and miners take more notice and work harder for the greater good and get off their high horses.
