Hey guys,
I had a couple 4870x2s lying around so I decided I would give em a try mining (I currently get free power from school so not concerned with how inefficient they are). Well I hooked one up, installed the proper drivers and sdk, and started up scrypt gui miner. When both gpus are active, I get 100% usage on gpu0 but only 62% usage on gpu1. Seperatly I can get 100% usage on either one, however once both are active, gpu1 throttles to 62%? additionally gpu0 isnt coming out of its power saving mode and so while its mining the clocks are stuck at 500/500 (should be 750/900) any idea why? Thanks

Disable ULPS (ultra low power setting)

1.Open regedit
2.Then select Computer>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet
3.C+F "enableulps"
4.Change every value that comes up to 0
5.Press F3 to go to the next value.  There will probably be a lot
6. Restart

Went through all the ULPS values and changed them all to 0 however it hasnt seemed to have had any effect the first core is still stuck at 500/500 and only ~60% of the second core is being used. Any ideas?

Well since your in the Bitcoin>Mining>Mining support section, why don't you try bitcoin mining?

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
