Ahem, http://slots.won777.com

So where's that prize? Wink

Also, I really like the name of this coin more than anything, it's too bad it was taken and executes in a less-than-graceful way.  But the name in itself has potential to make it an effective coin for in-game purchases if it could be marketed correctly.

That being said, buying GME, PM me for details.

I'm wondering if I should make a pull request on github and at least fix the damn client.

That peer could very well be us as well, lol.

It looks like we might fork the gamecoin repo and fix it up a bit and re-post, see if we can't get'er going again.

Someone please post your node if you have full blockchain.
Also, anyone else's wallet says out of sync, yet does not continue downloading the blockchain?

I agree with the name of this coin being the most appealing thing about it. While it does appears to be "dead" due to http://slots.won777.com/ accepting the coin, it has an entertainment value. Perhaps other sites will make use of this coin for various projects and mini games

The problem is the same issue that happened near launch of this coin.
Someone had attacked the coin trying to replace the blockchain with the one from Litecoin or Feathercoin. While the original blockchain is stronger, it still shows up claiming your wallet is out of sync. (it's not out of sync)

I'll keep my wallet with the correct original blockchain open and mine a block to ensure everything is still working.

To get your coins back and get back on the original blockchain. Remove any and all nodes from your config. Then move everything in your gamecoin folder into a separate backup folder, except for wallet.dat and gamecoin.conf. Let it resync and it will find your coins again.

I do have a few coins, If you want to buy some PM me with an offer. (I'm not anxious to sell and don't mind holding onto them but I am open to offers)

Do not use any nodes in the config.

Those nodes were part of the problem near the beginning of launch. (at least removing those nodes worked as a cure all for me when everyone else was having initial problems)

The fact that it says out of sync is currently a GOOD thing. there are not 350k blocks.

The coin was attacked early during launch by someone attempting to replace the blockchain with the one from litecoin. Your wallet still see's the left over of those chains so it will claim to be out of sync even though you are likely up to date. At this moment there are 19428 blocks. Not the 350,000 claimed by the wallet.

If you have 19428 blocks (or maybe a few more) and you wallet still says out of sync with 330k trying to download. Everything is working fine, start mining and using gamecoins for whatever. Unless the developer comes back and fixes a couple things to lock out the litecoin block chain, it's just something we have to ignore.

Is currently the only site I know that accepts gamecoins. And looking at their page suggests a possible exchange along with slot machine.

I've jumped back on as a node with my checkpointed daemon so if you want a trusted node which will only provide the correct 19428 blocks (currently) blockchain you can add this:
Code:
addnode=92.5.104.252

Maybe even consider adding:
Code:
maxconnections=1

This means it'll only trust this node and won't connect to any other peers.

If your client is telling you that you should have > 300k blocks then I recommend deleting everything from %Appdata%\gamecoin besides wallet.dat and gamecoin.conf and letting it redownload the correct chain again.

It's dead because nobody is mining it. Nobody is mining it because of the wrong blockchain taking over. It's a catch 22 situation.

I'm having some problems with my mining computer right now but once I get it sorted I'll start mining it and see if we can jump start it.

It will take quite awhile for it to show on your balance. Right now it requires 120 confirmations to fully mature when it is mined. Only 6 when it is transferred from one person to another. You also need to wait for that block to make it around the network to decide if it gets used or orphaned.

Riku2015, Of course you got 0/6 confirms. You transferred the coins, but you didn't put any hashing power behind it. If you were to throw 1mhash and solve a single block your confirms would jump to 1/6. Seeing as there's been at least 1 block solved since your post your transfer should be sitting at 1/6 or more.

Pretr1fied, I wouldn't recommend setting only one connection, and using your single node. I still stand by using no nodes and letting the network choose the correct chain. You will also get less rejects, less orphans when using the full network oppose to 1 connection. using a single trusted IP could have an incorrect blockchain making your coins "fake"

The problem with using a node is that it's acts as a "trusted" connection and if it accidentally syncs the incorrect blockchain or gets attacked, we end up back at square one with people who used that single connection complaining about lost coins and infecting the network.
I'm not against you setting up a working node, I'd just be wearing of people setting it as their only connection.
You're not the only one on the network with the  original working blockchain. (I do suggest you make a backup of it though)

Key thing to remember, If you want to send coins. Make sure you send some hash to the network to assist in those coins being sent. The coin is "dead" because it's uncommon for people to mine it leaving the hash at nearly zero. It's alive because we have one website willing to accept and make use of it for entertainment purposes.

My node is using a self compiled windows daemon with checkpoints up to block 19264. It will ignore the current litecoin blockchain. The problem is the network can't choose the correct chain for itself at the moment because too many peers have the litecoin chain.
