If you have transactions under the proper blockchain then keep your %Appdata%\gamecoin\wallet.dat

Good point, I'll add that warning to the post.

So are we shifting to this fork en masse? Coz if we do there has to be a proper announcement. At least a separate topic to inform everyone.

Anyways I leave my wallet free to connect and it shows 7 connections, fully synced and 19435 blocks.

Well I don't really want to be so presumptuous as to lift this guy's coin out from under him, but if we get the QT clients compiled  People are probably going to want to hop on the fork with the wallet that works.

I think it's safe to say the OP has abandoned it after no responses or even a login in 5 days. It may be worthwhile starting a new thread so you can have the binaries and links to the source code in the first post.

How long does it take for a transaction to show up? I cashed out from the slot site; but can't see anything (even unconfirmed) in my wallet. I have tried with keeping that site as a node but still nothing.

It could take a while. There have only been 8 new blocks in the last 9 hours although 5 of them have been found by faraway's pool in the last couple of hours so it is improving. If we can get this new fork compiled into a QT wallet and people update things should improve further.

I've discovered 2 blocks in the last hour or so by solo mining. So it's definitely better than it was.

OK tyrion70 has now compiled a working Windows QT wallet based upon jayo89's fork. You can download it here

Please consider sending tyrion a few GME to show your appreciation. His address is GRDZb1gJWWXuDUM8JeZuKNMKRkaZFwnV9c (also listed in verification.txt).

Be sure to delete everything from %Appdata%\Gamecoin (apart from gamecoin.conf and wallet.dat) before using this.

Here are details of a working pool provided by faraway:
The pool is back to life, using the last checkpoints. So it will follow the right block chain. With the current difficulty, it will be useful.

Here are the parameters:

cgminer --scrypt -o next.afraid.org:8112 -u yourGMEaddress -p .

statistics available here: http://next.afraid.org:8112

2% fee.

Enjoy.  Cool

If you keep wallet.dat your old transactions should still be there.

Yep this is the same thing as backing up your wallet. That wallet file in your %appdata% folder has all the info of your current wallet in it. This is handy if you gotta reinstall windows.

As far as  http://next.afraid.org:8112 is concerned, the pool was empty, and full hash of this coin is around 3MH/s. Solo mining is quite efficient in that case.
