[POLL] Can a Scam Coin be profitable ?

I really wonder what the world thinks on this question.

I have heard soooo many defenses of blatantly bad coins mentioning how they made money off it.
As though it make the coin ok..

To me i thought this was a rhetorical question.. common sense.
But maybe it's not ? 

Does a coin reach legit status simply because the price of it shot up high ?
