Cheers all, the past weeks i have been busy setting up a free bitcoin lottery. >>> http://bitcoin.lift-institute.com/lottery/Head over there and grab some tickets. I'd like to know your opinions on: - Is the Lottery easy to understand? - Does it look like a scam to you? Or is it trustworthy? - What kind of statistics would you want to see? Or is it too many already? - How high should a good prize be? - Did you experience any bugs? - What would you change, anything, if you could?Really any feedback that comes to your mind is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Ok, Payment for the 1st raffle has been executed. 2nd Raffle has opened. New Winners on Wednesday! TX Fees are a pain for the prize pool. If anyone here knows of a good way to send small transactions to many for reasonable fees, please let me know! I don't mind if they confirm a bit slower! It's free money i am giving out and i don't want to give the miners a bigger share than the winners

Ok, we shifted the prize pool over to blockchain.info's wallet service.
The next prizes should come at a much lower fee. This also means, they will take a bit longer to be confirmed on the network. But it ensures the subsequent raffles to keep a higher pool volume because less will be wasted on the TX Fees.

Looks promising, I personally don't like the visual effect on the website. I think it needs a lot of work .

Could you specify what you don't like about the "visual effect" ?! we try to keep it simple and clean... but the design is not final at all, so more input will sure help us develop a better look and feel!

Hi alibaba, yes, you can hold many tickets when the raffle ends, to multiply your chances of winning. You can claim a new free ticket every 30minutes!

We added another counter to the raffle stats showing how many addresses are playing... what do you think is this rather discouraging or encouraging?

Just signed up for the raffle That's a pretty nice site/layout in my opinion. I like simple... Anyways, thanks for making this! As you can tell, I'm new to this forum (and the Bitcoin currency as a whole), so this (hopefully) will get me some starting funds As for the stats of each drawing, I think its's pretty cool. Not sure if it's encouraging or discouraging, but it's certainly interesting One constructive piece of feedback I might make is that the submission button is a bit confusing (at least to me). Usually grey text on a button means that it's disabled. But hey, I'm just being picky May I ask what your motives are? Are you just being a nice, generous person?

Hi UltimateNoob, and welcome to the forum!
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
I am doing the site out of excitement for the bitcoin topic and to encourage and excite bitcoin beginners just like you to get to know the workings of bitcoins better.
I would of course hope, that ad revenue would reimburse for the lottery payouts, but that will be hard to achieve without making the site look like all the other faucets.
But I am making a steady 0.1 BTC mostly with mining and in small parts by reaping other faucet sites every day and I don't mind spending a small bit of that income to encourage others for using bitcoins and getting involved with the topic.
P.S.: Good point about the button, I will improve that soon.

One constructive piece of feedback I might make is that the submission button is a bit confusing (at least to me). Usually grey text on a button means that it's disabled. But hey, I'm just being picky I have improved the button's css styling a bit to make it more visible. It's not a big change but it should be more easily recognized as an ACTIVE button now. Thanks again for pointing it out, UltimateNoob!

Thanks! And yeah, you are getting the prettier version with adblock but even without, i think compared to most other faucets it still looks very clean and not too much like an adwall!

YES we pay out!one raffle has already been payed, the txID of the last prize payout is available on the site and links to blockchain.info if you want to check that. I myself do not know who won, but the winners wallet addresses are public and can be checked as well. the tickets are free so i invite you to participate... maybe we have a lucky one around here who can deliver the proof tomorrow evening
