Call it boredom or something else but i wrote a little script which import a dozen of Excel spreadsheets (Bounty Spreadsheets) into a DB to find Multi Accounts.
It just looks for Users who using the same Ethereum Addresse.

~17000 Data Sets from 10 campaigns.
  • Bitquence
  • Sphre Air
  • Monaco
  • MobileGO
  • Insurex
  • AdEx
  • Dent
  • Rivet
  • aeternity
  • Humaniq

If im in the mood i will update the list and add some other ICO/Bounty Campaign to the list or you can send me a link to a current or older Campaign( a excel spreadsheet should be available with Username and ETH Addresse)

If you are currently in a Campaigne you can link to it or if you are a Bounty Manager, use it to detect some multi Accounts.
Found ~680  data sets. Not all are multi accounts. Couldnt post it here in a proper format, so i will add a download link:

Could you format this data in a way that you: Add an URL link for each user with username; this would speed up checking and tagging?

I take it that these are sorted by accounts connected with an address, i.e. when the address changes we can assume that the group of accounts is owned by someone else?

I highly disagree on that list of multiple account.  The list contains spreadsheet from different campaign and different information detail format. Some campaign requires username of the social media account while others requires username of  bitcointalk account that's why some name listed was in different username with same address. And the user posted the list was not aware on that thing and collaborate all the sreadsheet.  I'm on the list BTW and I'm proud of it. Grin

I just saw my account on the list. Kindly remove it. I want to confirm that This is my one and only account. Kindly check the addresses you listed. Thank you!

PS: I have participated in Campaigns from different campaign managers including Yahoo and Lauda. This is the only account I use. I don't operate any other account.

I am not sure what is there a problem, many of us are joined in several campaigns in time and use same eth address.
also, I am not on the list, but I use one address for all campaigns where participate. it is easy for me. i hope there will not be a problem

From what I can tell, this is solely data pulled from bounty campaigns. I have not even run one AFAIK, thus mentioning me is not exactly relevant here. However, it does seem like some bounty manager had misspelled your name which triggered a false positive.

You are confused, and swift to respond which has led to a useless post. That's not what the thread is about. The thread is about users who have several accounts and participate in bounties, a.k.a. cheating.

I agree that is there a lot of farming accounts joining on bounty program and we need fight against them, but it is serious work to research and mark someone as a cheater. The wrong estimation can someone making trouble with joining on the new campaign and devasting their rating.

hint: you can see on Bitquence and InsureX bounty thread. There is several same posts like "joining campaign bla bla.." Although not required to post on the thread, and mostly all post are posted in few minutes, with the same way of writing and very similar usernames. I am pretty sure that is from one owner
also, there has been one campaign one year ago, where is possible to join with more accounts(i say about twitter) and I see there guys with 30+ accounts

I don't think there is anything wrong with using multiple accounts to claim any kind of bounty/reward/etc.

While your DB may help find alts of actual scammers, I suspect it will primarily add fuel to the which-hunt by Lauda, so he can try to make a bigger name for himself.

I agree. It is entirely base on the rules of the campaign. Commonly, only in the signature campaigns which multiple accounts is not allowed.

If the rules of the campaign are one account per person, then someone is farming trust. Breaking a rule of a signature (or whatever) campaign is not scamming, and it is ridiculous to say that it is.

When the campaign said that only one account is allowed to enter and you violate it then you are considered as abusing the campaign or also known as farming which in some cases can get you a red trust from a DT member other than the normal thing to be kicked out with no pay and be ban.

Scamming is another thing. I believe that this topic is made to disclose users (especially those who are high ranking) who are having another account(s) which is not publicly stated or they don't just feel the need to. Well if these accounts are used to commit scams or anything that violates the forum's rules then they should be revealed and punished while if there is no rules violated then they will just have a publicity whether it is good or bad.

Cheating a campaign by abusing/breaking a few rules (intentionally) deserves a negative rating. Additionally, I'd even label it as theft if the user manages to take more money than what they should (e.g. with 2 accounts, where a 'no alts' rule is present).

Scamming is another thing. The reason for which Quickseller is defending account farming and enrolling with multiple accounts is because he is one of the people involved in that business. Roll Eyes

Would it be possible to create a script that lists and groups users from a spreadsheet by sign up date or post count/activity? Usually the farmers will have accounts registered on the same day or a few days apart and post counts/activity the same. I spot a lot like this but only by manually going through the spreadsheet which is very tedious and time consuming.

I don't think there is anything wrong with using multiple accounts to claim any kind of bounty/reward/etc.

I really wouldn't care if they were making great posts but the issue that concerns me is they're not and these crapcoin ico campaigns are all massively abused by shitposting farmers who have often farmed their accounts in the worst possible way.

You and some other peoples used the wrong Username ( Twitter/FB instead of the Bitcointalk Username). The List is not really wrong, its just that some people used a wrong username and wrongly detected as a multi account. Thats why i removed it for now.

Would it be possible to create a script that lists and groups users from a spreadsheet by sign up date or post count/activity? Everything is possible but that would be a "lot" of work....maybe when i have some time and im in the mood.

Well, I don't really know. I believe you have some proofs so maybe you can link some. Don't get me wrong since I just want to hear both sides regarding this issue i.e. "multi accounts" that he used in abusing some campaigns so as to not being labeled as bias.

I also believe that even if a particular user used or have 2 or more accounts and enrolled in a campaign (which each participate in different campaigns) but contribute something valuable to the forum and not spamming or shitposting then technically there is no wrong thing that he committed whether in campaign's rules or the forum's rules. But as we all know, these guys who have multi accounts are commonly characterized by spamming and trashy post which damage the quality discussions we should have in this forum and can be used in other schemes other than abusing a campaign which will clearly violate the rules though I am not saying all are like that but mostly are.

I will be using theymos's address every where I go to be linked to him Cheesy

While ETH addresses could be made simply by clicking on generate new address in myetherwallet, this is good only to detect some lazy people Cheesy
I don't have a face book or twitter accounts, that's why I use my brother's accounts, but he and I never used them in a single bounty campaign at the same time.
Anyways if more than one account are using same address in a campaign you should blame and then tag the manager for doing a lousy job, instead OP you should sell your skills if you can write scripts.
