I am interested in cryptocurrency investment for a while already. However I did not find any authority that could give me professional advices or explained clear and open enough materials as prove of their logic. That is why I decided to start making analysis of projects using list of criterias I identified. Feel free to use this list, add new or remove any items from that list.

No harm in watching the key figures. I don't disagree with that.

but I think BIP91 mining support, rather than the litecoin guy tweeting about it, are responsible for the BTC price surge.

Good list. Take consider that 99% of investors do not check all of them.
And you ll need time to check and analyse all of these list. But if you can, this gonna be a very advantage for you.

Good factors to analyze an altcoin. It takes some time to get full information to take a good decision. But it´s really important before to take a decision to invest.

I work in a small team and we have an IT specialist, but there is not enough time to analyze all the factors for a lot of projects.

What did we do?

We selected the priority projects on the basis of statistics and look at the indicators for them.

Is the complete absence and operational analysis a real problem for making decisions for you? How do you solve this problem for yourself?

For me, the factor of team, their authority, protfolio  is number one. Of course, we have to do some homework to have basic idea on token mechanics, limits, risks. Moreover, project news  should be considered, though sometimes hype.

I also think it is important to distinguish platforms, protocols and decentralized application. On average, successful platform or successful protocol should have bigger market cap than successful dapp.

I am using the following strategy:
Short term strategy (up to 7 days): Quick profit can be made only on popular projects that are supported by press and famous people in the community.
Mid term strategy (from 7 days to 3 months): projects that announce solution for important problems and that have strong team, portfolio, sales, community support.
Long term strategy (3 months to 3 years): projects containing a lot of pieces of success, each project needs individual deep analysis.

We gotta also understand that strong projects can give results on any time period and any other projects might not survive even before first version will be released.
