We have started development on a Bitcoin related open source software library. This library will contain a collection of tested open source scripts, small programs, software and apps.

At the moment we have very little content. This is why we are asking for open source developers to post their programs on this topic so that we can upload it onto our website. The post should be in the following format,

Name/Organization:
Source code download Link:
Small Description:

We test the programs as part of the uploading process (to ensure useful, working programs are uploaded). If we find any bugs they will be reported to the author of the program.

We also have a few ideas for the future concerning developing some android mobile applications and developing a Bitcoin charting web application, that we intend to make it so that you can easily implement it on your own website.

You can visit us at www.bitkapp.com

PS: I am doing this for fun and to get involved in the Bitcoin community and idea, however there are web server related costs. That is why we ask to support us if you think our idea is good and useful. You can do this at 1Bc9Jr8rxcp3be4DUHfVdSh3sZ9My9pqog Any help will be greatly appreciated. If we can raise 0.5BTC we can run the website for about a year (which is enough to really develop this idea).

I'm developing an app, tentatively named "CryptoCoin Alerts", it fetches values such as Bitcoin to USD, BTC to LTC, etc., and speaks the values aloud at an interval you specify. It's far from finished, but does fetch all values from BTC-E right now. Soon I will have Gox, BTER, and other exchanges implemented, just been real busy trying to hold things together IRL. So far, it seems that there's been no interest in my app, but I insist that if people check it out, some will find it useful. I'm constantly working on a hundred different things, cooking, doing stuff around the house, and can't keep my eyes glued to the screen to watch my coins go up a few points, with my app I can just listen! Anyway, it's open source, developed with LiveCode 6.0, community edition. If any Livecode guys want to look at the source just to verify that there's no malicious stuff in there, you're welcome to it, it's included in the download.

Here's a link to the official thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197717.0

I'll have some updates to the app soon, if there's any interest in it. Also, with Livecode, I have the ability to build for pretty much every platform, so keep that in mind. If people would use the app, I'll add whatever they need!

Thanks,
Edric

The website looks pretty interesting, I was just now looking at it. Definitely count me in! I've got a few projects in mind, and a couple in development. What do you guys think about a turnkey coin pool platform that only takes a few minutes to set up? No official announcement yet, but it's in the works! If you need any info from me for your library throw me a message!

Made a few minor changes, check em out! More updates coming soon and hopefully more content as well, thats why we ask everyone who has open source software related to bitcoin and is willing to share it, to post it on this post, we credit all our sources and put links to your github/website.

We also continue to insist, we need 0.5BTC to survive for a year. A year is a long time to really develop this project and many others we have in mind which you can check out on the future page on our website. Thanks in advance!

We've posted some new content, check out these php tools for web masters at http://wp.me/p3sJmg-5M

I also continue to ask all bitcoin open source developers to post links to their githubs so i can create a library of different software. This would allow any new coming developers to find all the tools they need in one place. Thanks in advance!

I'm slightly impressed with the website. Might want to disable the image clicks on the homepage.

More documentation and code is needed for Bitcoin. I'm currently working on improving the actually Bitcoin docs (boy were they a mess).
Perhaps we could add you guys to a list of libraries in the official docs. PM me and let me know what you think.
