Seriously every time I update my ATI drivers I end up spending 2 days fixing all the things that went wrong because of it.  You think I'd have learned by now, I've been using their crap since 2005.  Next time I'm going with Nvida.

Well for mining ATI ones are the best ones... with nvidia you will be looking into half performance (using CUDA vs Open CL) I bet at least half of the sales of ATI are thanks to cryptocurrenties :p

Nvidia is great at high workload, low frequency tasks.

Piss poor miners though.

My name was simply a play on "Blue Engineer" from Team Fortress. I am not affiliated with Microsoft or the Azure project.

I mentioned in another thread...

Have you cold-booted your system? I've found that my ATI cards sometimes flake out and cause bluescreens if I reboot without coldbooting.

That would stink to upgrade, however you realize Nvidia is useless for mining crypto-currencies as of now. You would be better up sticking with the drivers you have, why constantly upgrade when the current drivers you have work fine.

Can't scream how true this is. If your having major issues then look for updates other wise who cares? What are you gaining again?

One reason why I always went ATI.  But I've had it with their godawful drivers.  By the time I need a new card crypto-currency GPU mining will be all but pointless, it'll be single purpose specialized hardware (ASIC, etc) or don't even bother, so I'm not concerned about that aspect.
