i made my first purchase of btc today with bitinstant and bought the coins through mtgox. does anyone have an estimate on how long it will take to get verified? i was unaware that i had to get my account verified just to withdraw less than $100 worth of btc to my normal wallet. im currently 1340 in the queue but it hasnt moved in over an hour. are they even verifying accounts on the weekend?

That should be 1-3 days max, 1,5k is easy I was somewhere around 21k when I joined Mtgox

When I was waiting to verified I checked one day and the cue said >3000 but then I got it the next day.

A few days to get verified should be all it takes. I'm not sure if they verify over the weekend but they are definitely slower.

Why not use btc-e. They don't have any verification and more stable than mtgox.

Depending on your queue size, about 1000-2000 per day is the rate you're looking at.

It took about 9-10 days for Mt Gox to verify me.

i got rejected once within 24hrs of verification, so i submitted a new info, and i got verified few hours later =)

It took me a couple weeks to get verified as a person. I asked many times how to get my business verified and they never followed through with info about where to send my corporate documents, etc.

It took me 4 business days to get verified. I got rejected once too cause I didn't send a color copy of my ID...

It took me a month. I apparently didn't have my Id at exactly 300dpi.
