Not sure what Ethereum will do in the short term but long term I've heard many describe it as a ticking time bomb that will explode and drop but I guess nobody can be 100% certain.

Hello,
I bought some eth a while ago and took my profit when it was ath.
I was thinking about buying again when it tanked that low (relative).
But now its back to 250...
I couldn't buy when it was 140.. because my fund were 'locked' in other coins which I dint want to sell (with losses).
I deposited more fiat to Kraken...
Buy now or will it tan again?

Buy as far as your extra money can go. And hold them. Etherium is still rising. Go for long term if I were you. It will give you much profit. But since you are also into some other coins, that is also better. Just follow the general rule, buy high sell low. Avoid selling coins with losses. Just wait for them to bounce back before selling. Don't worry, it will. I think the op should not buy ethereum, for the platform is not really safe. People lost lots of money because of eth-related issues. The price may go up, of course, but I don't think it will grow really high. At least I am quite sure the price will go down again in a month or so. And lol, you wrote the rule upside down. Buy high sell low sounds like the worst option possible. |

After big dump recently ether gain good recovery may be it will cross more than atleast 100$ increase in next one month after august first bitcoin hard fork.

Wait for another dip, it was down to 150 last week...
Always buy the dip, never high.
ETH has many flaws, and best proof is existence of ETC. It is just a mater of time when will ETC takeover its position as better opportunity for investors. I would recommend slowly exiting while price is still ok! Lot of noise about recent hack made more damage because those ETHs are still there! This is psychological warfare.. |

$195 right now may test levels like $170.
It is a buy near $170 or $160. Hackattacks are common and are not only bound to ICOs or just eth. Exchanges have been hacked in the past so just stay positive and hold.
Buy on dip.

I think best thing should be to place buy-orders much lower, in expectation of sudden panic dump. ETH risen so fast didn't have time to get stronger all this is just pump motivated with fast earnings. Now many ICO projects will sell portions of their funds collected in ETH so they can fund thair needs. Im talking about thousandts of ETH's, which are very dangerous for fragile ETH price. |

For now on the sudden hacking incident in Parity wallet which have been compromised millions of dollars then better to wait for the dips of price as of now because im sure it would really be affected on the said event. It may not happening as of now but keep an eye on that one and be wise on entering the possible sweet spot to buy on ETH because later on it will rise up its price again when August hits up.
I totally agree with you. Maximum chances are there that eth will experience a great downfall before Segwit and that would be the nice opportunity for those who want to hold eths for getting into the game. It’s sagacious to observe eth graph keenly on daily basis to jump into the game at a nice price. But after Segwit it won’t be easy to buy eths. |

At this time buying ETH is a bad idea as the price and dipping again and ETH haven't been able to recover completely after the hack. With that much uncertainty wait for some time may be it's price will reduce further in coming days.

Wait, why sharply after August? Because of BTC UASF/split at the start of August? Surely people would buy at the start of August when BTC is taking the strongest battering? I was understanding that ETH is pumped to hell by all these ICOs and will have a inevitable fall when millions and millions of coins are sold off buy these companies? I may be wrong, but I am hoping to buy in at maybe half of todays price? |

You could be right. Looking at the overall chart it looks bullish and I could imagine making it new highs in a few months.Maybe something around the $500 level. I'm not a big fan of that coin and this community, but when I see the chart it looks really promising for some more upwards movements to happen soon.$390 could be some point of resistance. So from there some retracement seems likely imo. Let's see how it plays out the next weeks. |

I think for now you hold on as there is a probability That the Ethereum price may drop a little bit in days to come. Ethereum will get to $500 but you should not go in early and may be became panic when the price over push down because of take profit. I am still hold untill I see a clear signal.

People have a lot of expectation on ETH when the price of Bitcoin is increasing there is an indication that the price of ETH will increase. In this month may be the price of ETH will increase to more than 300$ let' wait for the big pump. |
