The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Yeah paperwallet/private key same thing. Don't lose private key, write it down or paperwallet, take care of your paper.

Android for sure no. You can't know when they are going to make an update at app and god knows what will happen.

I am ok with official blockchain website to be honest.

There is no safest option here, you are fine as long as you are holding the private keys. (If we are speaking about 1st august) as for securing your bitcoins in general, then the safest option is an encrypted paper wallet stored somewhere where no one could get to it or a hardware wallet or an OpenDime stick.

Any wallet where you control the private keys is what you want for the hard fork even if it happens. Now out of all the options there are varying degrees of security just for regular activity.

Actually, the android wallet private keys can be recovered from the seed that is taken in a backup, so technically, you still control the private keys. It's jnot a perfectly clean operation (a few things need installing first) but it does grant access to private keys.

Yes. Paper wallet is a good option however, blockchain web wallet is not safe. Because lately blockchain.info wallet have issues. So for me, its not safe to put your money there. I have stay away from that wallet about a few months ago. Does it gave you control of your private keys? You need to double check with them as I have read that they removed that capability when they released new version of their website. I think you can only import private keys.

i suggest you Download Electrum from Electrum.org i don't know about any of the other versions, but the PC client gives you control over your private keys, so no matter what you can restore your balance to whatever wallet/blockchain you want after the dust settles.

This is one of the best wallet out there that you can used beside the core. I personally used it. If you still have some doubts, I suggest you read this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2012799.0.

Theymos already laid out the best wallet to used in case there is a hard fork on Aug 1.
