I don't see how a split will negatively influence price, you will have 2 coins where you used to have only 1, the coin with the most support will be called bitcoin and the other one will be called some variation, like ether and ether classic, both coexist and both have independent value.

But we need to consider here the supporters or in more clear term investors also may get split so that the dominance of bitcoin may get diminished which is not a welcoming one if you consider being united may lead to big things. But hopefully only softfork may get activated and with that case we can see prices will be doubling within Aug and prices may go up to $10k within 2017.

The current bitcoin price increase is indeed fantastic, it is undeniable there has been a significant increase compared to last year. If indeed $ 4000 is the number that a bitcoin reaches the end of the year then this is not impossible. Currently bitcoin has reached 2800 $ and a rise of 1000 $ within 5 months is not impossible. your all perceptions are right but look at the traders who are so optimistic that they will think bitcoin reaches at $4500 at the end of 2017 but I’ll consider that bitcoins prices makes some era like era of buyers and era of sellers so that the traders will get perfect amount of profit and satisfy from their business.
