Ethereum and Ethereum classic

Could anyone tell me why investing in Ethereum or Ethereum Classic might not be a good idea? Besides from it being a volatile market?
Seems like Ethereum is very popular atm and nobody can really tell me a downside of Ethereum and its tech

I´m not a tech expert and i think ethereum e good overall. The main problem for me with ethereum is the kind of projects built on it. There are several eth token that are nothing more the crowfunding for projects. The token itself is useless. The there are several scams going on. And finally the amount of eth going to ICO´s.

So, i, just if you get Project owners dumping ICO eth, people understanding that the tokens they hold are useless and some "GOOD, SOLID Project" turns out to be a scam you will have the perfect storm for eth to take a very very strong hit...

For me investing in ethereum and ethereum classic is good Idea for me because this coin have big future and possible ethereum will becone next bitcoin once bitcoin die. But it depends all in demand on the market if the price of will go down or it will increase.

Dev’s from previous coins and ico’s are using Ethereum Classic to ride on the price of Ethereum so I would invest in Ethereum instead of Ethereum Classic. When the price of Ethereum Classic goes up, the price of Etheruem is already in the green especially when there is a pump.

The price of Ethereum goes up with the price of Bitcoin too, so when the price of Bitcoin goes up then the price of Ethereum rides on the price of Bitcoin for a short while.

For me ethereum is better than ethereum classic and that's why invest with ethereum is recommended. Depending my strategy I only see price action history with long time period, volume and news speculation. Even today ethereum price falling down but this is the right time to buy it. Don't lose faith with ethereum, but remember always using stop loss and good money management. Good luck.

I dint really invest and research about ethereum classic after ethereum hard fork ETH and ETC happened . Ethereum is good investment because lots of ICO happening based on ERC20 Token for each transaction for token need some gas it will make ETH price more.

Both are very good coins according to me and they will be worth good in future Ethereum is already growing very good and Ethereum Classic is yet to grow in value I am sure both are worth to buy and can give good return in future.

Root for Ethereum Classic, they have a good and solid team now... and has a lot of marketcap growth and potential.

Cons can be found everywhere and in everything, there is nothing perfect. If you look negatively at the Ethereum project and look for the cons in it, then you can allocate a couple of this unlimited number of coins and the current situation with fraudulent projects that influenced the price of Ethereum .

If it's explored better, good or bad for a project or coin according to each person's version, because I see both have their own advantages and potentially will be better in the future after the bear market ends, I hope you know for yourself any more information mature rather than asking for an explanation here without further reviewing all those who post here, they must realize that crime has several levels and cannot show that some of the coins are bad with an empty head of knowledge, I am not too worried about those two coins, because I believe only Ethereum where travel was very clear and experienced a tremendous increase after last year's hype.

I believe the major problem with ethereum is it level of volatility and that is caused by the various projects that are built on it blockchain because it house the various tokens and at that it operations is always affected by the presence of this token's.

Etherum and Ethereum classic , both have their own advantages and disadvantages. It also completely depends on the person who holds it whethere to hold it further or sell it. By the way, i am really not an expert about investing money in which assets. But I can give an opinion based on my views that why investing in ETH and ETC will not be an good idea.
You have yourself mentioned that, it's price is volatile. And i am completely agreed with you as no one should risk his/her money on a volatile crypto. Moreover as it is one of the oldest crypto therefore we can't assume the correct price.
IMO you should invest or not depends on the amount you want to invest.

I think these two coins do have good development, Eth does have a good capitalization and Ethereum Clasik still has good volume.
The developments that occur appear to be related and will become a popular coin for the future.

For me, Ethereum and Ethereum Classic are a good coin and I still hold some of those coins. I don't know how about other people because I think that coin can increase higher. ETC still at the low price and if you are interested, you can buy right now before the price increase but ETH is legit too as you know that ETH can increase like the other coin. Besides that, ETH is the main base network of all ICO so the chance to get increase will be open.

Why can I. The problem with ETH is that it is constantly experiencing an outflow of investments at the expense of frauds. This will destroy him. Because too many projects collect this coin and then simply remove it from the network.

it is interesting to see this old topic be bumped by some random user since it lets us see how nothing has changed, people are still repeating the same cliches as before and all the time  they were telling people price is going to rise over the past year, it actually was dropping.
so OP has already lost more than half of his money if he listened to them.

Be careful if you are buying ETC as the hash rate is low enough for a double-spend attack to be launched through rented hashing power.
