We are about to get segwit and this is the first time that we came so close. If we activate segwit, scaling debates will end for another 2-3 years. That's the reason.

At a minimum we *should* be OK until Nov/Dec when ChinaCoin/Ver/etc. might try to fork BTC again.  Still, I do not see their logic, they split BTC, everyone loses, everyone loses BIG, including them.

That also assumes SegWit implements OK and there a re no serious bugs.

Still, BTC just crossed $2500, up $150 since I woke up (visiting Europe).  Confidence is returning IMO.

BIP91, which is what will activate Segwit is over 80% of miner support in the current lock-in period and the price is increasing due to extreme confidence that finally a problem that has long plagued Bitcoin will be solved.

Dump what dump it's over now it's only going to rise and rise upwards and upwards. One of the simple reason that is the support for segwit has reached over 87%, then bitmain signalled his support to, so the spilt is all but over, and all those who were selling began to buy and now it's gonna shoot up and up. Let's all take one minute silence for all those who sold it to buy later, cause smart ones only accumulated and got rich, we are legends.

I think thats because the segwit2 will released tomorrow so there is a pump. If any dump issue, it should be happen on next week, and we hope that was the last dump on this month.

We will go much lower than 1800$, maybe we See 1200$ in the next 4 weeks.
There are to much guys that made a lot of profits with the bitcoin and altcoin run.

Big block HF proposals have no support from the userbase. They are troll proposals. Blocksize increase will never happen. It may happen only If they take the risks of creating their own altcoin.

Why not? These things take time. They need to be discussed heavily. Everybody needs to get convinced... Consensus... Not every body can read the code and decide that it is good or bad. Even if they do, their decision may change in time.

We are less than half a day away from SegWit lock-in. The market is currently pricing in the change. To make some money you should buy now.

I think it is mostly because we see segwit activation, and we have seen even bigger pumps going on right now.
People who decided to book their profits already done that, because we have just seen 2500$ again. so we will see bigger and bigger rises now at least i hope

People still interest on bitcoin although 1 Aug is getting near but I think it's a whale trader do such massive transaction in order to chill out the situation so I have felling that bitcoin will decrease again near 1 Aug

When every hard fork occurs there was certain price pumps happened as price chart history says. Due to price rise most of the people will be ready to the sell or exchange it alts due to upcoming dump but don't do that please. If you increase the supply then they will hold all those bitcoins according to my view.

We can see some light as of now that the possibility on avoiding that split since the support was high which means expected there would be pumps but I do have still doubts to join in since August 1 isn't there yet and there are still some things would happen for sure later on bitcoins price. For now I'm glad seeing the price have nearly recovered after that tremendous dip.
