BitcoinCash BCC on August 1st.

BCC is going to be an altcoin rather than a split in the original Bitcoin blockchain, right? So what do I need to do in order to claim these coins? Do I need to import the private key of my Bitcoin wallet in to the BCC wallet? Isn't that risky?

Bitcoin ABC client would create a new blockchain and would mine Bitcoin Cash (BCC) on BCC mining pool, its simply an alt, nothing to do with the main chain. This ABC plan was proposed by ViaBTC, around 4.6% hashrate. At a time where Segwit activation looks certain without causing a split, ViaBTC has to be batshit crazy to go ahead with creating a BCC mining pool with such a low majority to mine BCC.

If they do it then it would be on August 1. According to their UAHF plan they would be launching a BCC mining pool tomorrow, July 22. Let's see if that happens, most probably not and there would be no split on August 1.

https://medium.com/@ViaBTC/statement-on-bitcoin-user-activated-hard-fork-6e7aebb67e67

If this happens, then you would have to convert your bitcoin to this ABC altcoin, is it worth it?

ViaBTC has just put BCC (Bitcoin Cash)-CNY trading pair on their exchange.

Quote
From 22nd July 2017 (UTC Time), ViaBTC exchange users can trade your “BTC” assets against 1:1 ratio into both “BCC” and “BTC_FROZEN2” assets. Namely, you can trade 1 “BTC” into 1 “BCC” token and 1 “BTC_FROZEN2” token, or vice versa. Deposit and withdrawal are not available for “BCC” and ”BTC_FROZEN2”.

https://www.viabtc.com/convert/bcc

Who would be insane enough to trade 1 BTC to 1 BCC and 1 BTC_FROZEN2 tokens? It looks like there might be another altcoin on August 1.

PS: BCC is just an altcoin, nothing to do with bitcoin or a split.

Because you can sell your BCC then pick it up at a lower price, then convert back to BTC with the profit you just got. Bitfinex had the same system when they allowed you to trade BTU tokens.

can someone tell me if btc will split on 1th of august or nah?

FUD spread that there is a possible chain split but it seems that won't happen.  The support for Bip 91 is enough to lock down the update and secure the chain and prevent the possible chain split. Aside from that some major exchange just release an announcement of not accepting split chain created by UAHF.
i suppose it will not splitting needed also
Bip91 has locked the block, and fully supporting segwit
so hardfork will activating.

It's a stupid position which was aimed at maintaining the panic. Now maybe the whales have realized that panic is not producing results and therefore started buying coins. The price has returned to maximum limits and soon we will see the record.

Nothing is going to happen. Considering the hype that surrounded it for years, I must say its a disappointing end to what has been an exciting ride.

I dont believe a single word. Lots of nonesense is spoke here so its hard to know what to take seriously. I think this is some plan for a free with alternative motives. Most likely lucrative. Its always about the money isn't it. No fork will happen.

Most of the miners are supporting either BIP 91 or Segwit2x and i really done know the difference between the two but analaysts are saying that with the way that things are going, there is not going to be any split in the bitcoins network. So we can buy because i have a feeling that there is going to be a surge very soon.

It is hard to answer because you should have believed that it would or not. Just trust bitcoin. Because bitcoin will never destroy and neither it would let you down. But something I know is, it very important and unavoidable. What we can do is, just send your bitcoins to desktop wallet because it is protected and kindly don't transaction after 31st July and then wait till everything got stable. Because you may lose your bitcoin by any means.

BIP 91 already settled in so it is unlikely the main bitcoin will split on August 1, that's why the price increased. However, some people take advantage of this and ready to create some altcoin-like coins from it, in august 1.

Maybe you are right. I agree with you. But in my opinion it will never be. But the thing is no one really know what will be happen on august 1, we need to stand firm and take all the risk. Whether bitcoin will be at high price or in some other reasons it will decrease its price. No one really knows what will happen.

well the price of the bitcoin is yet not fixed we cannot figure it out that what’s gona happen in the next coming 9 days we cannot make a sure prediction about it but bitcoin has become the main target it could be possible to predict or to speculate with the famous bitcoin so the price will become a bit more large and reliable for us.

Well let's hope for the best, whether a split or not we are hoping for the strength of Bitcoin as a future currency so that we will continue to enjoy our financial freedom from the hands of political leaders.

I believe so. Bitcoincash.org

That's a fork. Not a split. It's self declared new coin.

Don't go scaring the younglings.

Actually that's a piece of garbage not a for not a split and not a coin.
It's the last attempt to manipulate by the usual actors in this mess.
And it will be one huge flop

There is a chance Bitcoin will experience a chain-split on August 1st. A segment of all Bitcoin users is committed to activating a user activated soft fork (UASF) as described in Bitcoin Improvement Proposal 148 (BIP 148). They will reject all Bitcoin blocks not supporting the SegWit. If a majority of miners (by hash power) does not signal support for SegWit through BIP148 on August 1st, but at least some do, Bitcoin’s blockchain will split in two. They will be the 148 BTC coins supporting the new soft fork and Legacy BTC which is the not upgraded version.

I hope its not possible. All the news we witnessed about hard fork in last few weeks were just FUD news deliberately spread by big whales to buy cheaper bitcoins promoting panic selling. All the dust has started to settle now and thats why we could see the bitcoin's price increasing once again.Every one has started to realize that bitcoin is not going to split and have started to rebuy bitcoins as much as possible.
