As some of you know that two of biggest Darkmarket was taken down. Alphabay and HANZA. Servers taken and police did their work with different tools to trace where money went. Mixers dont help much here.  Here is a part describing what got owner of Alphabay. 1605BTC, 8309 ETH , 3691 ZCash and guess how much of true secure, private, untraceable currency?

that means if I hold - for example - my darknet vendor earnings in Monero then I am safe because the investigators can't even see how many coins I have? That's nifty. Is that Monero?

And not only you. Volvo can now freely buy batteries for electric cars from Bolivian government and Tesla will never know how much they paid for them.   If Volvo would use Bitcoin or Ethereum or ZCash that would not be a case.   Tesla would simply offer more and they could deliver what they promised 2 years ago.
