Hello,
This is my first post here and any help would be very appreciated.

So, I am thinking about buying the next available batch of the Bitman Antminer L3+, which mines litecoin.  Do you think it will be able to make an equivalent of $4000 US in six months?  Also, I will be mining from Shanghai, China, so if there will be higher latency or will make it earn less please count that in too.

I know the based on the current nicehash stats it will work, but since it is so profitable do you think there will be a increase in the mining difficulty or Litecoin unstability that will make this goal not possible?

Thanks for any help!    Cheesy

First off, you won't HAVE the miner for months unless you buy a used one from someone, or a "July Batch" from a reseller.

Second off, even if you have it in hand by end of September, that still only leaves you about 4.5 months of mining time out of your "6 months" - AND difficulty is going to climb quite a bit as folks finish getting their July batch miners online and then again when folks get the September batch miners and get THOSE online.

Latency shouldn't be a significant factor, my A2 Scrypt mining farm was only seeing about 1% higher stales when I was running it via a SAT connection at 650-750 ms lag.

On the plus side for you right now - the only other folks shipping Scrypt miners is Innosilicon with the A4, and those are quite a bit lower efficiency and less than 60% of the hashrate of the L3+ so they seem to be selling slower and not affecting total hashrate nearly as much - and THOSE are also sold out 'till September.

So the next batch will be in a while?  On the website it says the batch will be available shortly, so does shortly mean like two months?

Now that most of the July L3's are already delivered, how many August batches are there?

Then I guess my question is.  Will the difficultly go up much from now to when the next batch is available?  The reason is I'm getting a loan to buy this and my buddy is asking me to pay him back 2x the price in 6 months.  So should I buy one from a reseller now, or will the difficulty be fine and mean that I can buy it from Bitman themselves when the next batch comes out?  Which will be around September?

Depends on how many batches are coming out in the near term.  I have no idea how many August/September batches there are.

no one can tell you , how much those miners can produce per week or months ahead...
any calculator you can find on the web , is just for that day , that moment when u using it Smiley
difficulty and current LTC/fiat exchange rate the two mayor factor to calculating any income from mining if you not paying for electricity  , if you have to pay the power bill then that is the 3rd important factor to calculating your income...

One Antminer l3+ with today (july-20-2017) difficulty , and current LTC/fiat exchange rate can generate around 36-37$/ day with free electricity ...
in the past 1 month the difficulty grow 30%
if yo used the same calculator a month ago (jun-20-2017) you calculated result was around 75$/day, with free electricity

Hello,
This is my first post here and any help would be very appreciated.
So, I am thinking about buying the next available batch of the Bitman Antminer L3+, which mines litecoin.

The next batch you can buy from Bitmain is will be available for shipping around the end of september , or the first hal of october .
just in the past 1 month the difficulty grow by 30% , dont forget about this ,when u calculationg your projected income

What do you mean?  What should I be using?  I was just assuming anything that has it cheap or Amazon.

You should be using Bitmain and wait till the next batch will be available , everywhere else you have to pay a hefty premium price !

just a side note ... LTC difficulty jumped another 15% today , so with current difficulty , and ltc/fiat exchange rate one l3+ can mine around 32-33$ /day if you not paying for electricity ... LTC mining of course is still profitable Smiley but if the exchange rate stays the same and difficulty keep growing , ROI time will be much longer , you going to make less and less day by day Sad

Zero, the next batch was September - and appears to be sold out.

The questions isn't just "how many batches" though, the question is "how many units delivered" when it comes to adding to the total network hashrate - and since Innosilicon is also selling A4 units (though they are ALSO out right now) it's NOT all about Bitmain for Scrypt.
