I do not think that Ethereum will stop trading at August 1. It is one of the main altcoins that people have invested in in their panic stricken actions. They would want to sell at the last second and buy up a the earliest time possible.
AS for USDT, (I think) it should only be affected if Bitcoin splits. Other than that, it should be fine.

I think not, hardfork issue only experienced bitcoin and ETH no effect, bitcoin and ETH price back up, this is a good time to buy as much as possible.

Why ETH is stopped? No problem with ETH. ETH would may need a correction like BTC as it rise too fast and it has many ICO as startup will need that ETH from ICO. I am also curios about ETH on 1 Aug, so far I HODL. |

Why ETH is stopped? No problem with ETH. ETH would may need a correction like BTC as it rise too fast and it has many ICO as startup will need that ETH from ICO. I am also curios about ETH on 1 Aug, so far I HODL. No problem with ETH but i think they stoped exchange BTC - ETH to determine the number of BTC, members had at the time of August 1, 2017 |

it might be possible but only intended for btc<->eth trading, as many traders would be in the panic mode as what they have said traditionally that august is a bad month for stock market and other stock trading as what they are referring to as "a ghost month". other than eth<->altcoins trading will go on. but for a safer side some might stop trading for a while.

Maybe BTC AND ETH pairs might stop trading on that day but maybe things with Bitcoin will pan out before August 1st so then things might run as normal.

probably not. Because eth will not be affected of it. Even now the price of eth is rising today.
Yes, I agree on that matter. Bitcoin will be in danger but ethereum is a different and independent platform, so I think it will live its own life. If btc succeeds, eth will just go on the way it does now. If btc gets hurt (hard fork situation) then ethereum will grow in price, because people will sell their btc to buy second best thing which is ethereum. But then again, who knows, maybe people will make the failure of btc the end of cryptocurrencies. |

Although Ethereum and bitcoin has the same base blockchain technology, but I do not think it will affect the ethereum. But if bitcoin manages to solve the problem, it is an advantage for bitcoin and its price will definitely be more expensive than the highest rate this year. And ethereum will also surely increase

ETH and USDT won't stop trading at all even if implementation of changes on bitcoin on august 1st will be done. After all, bitcoin. ETH and USDT are three different currencies, therefore it would not stop trading but it will be affected into some degree depending on people's actions before fork. For now watch the market movements, buy if you can, and see if ETH will pump or not after August 1. |

i think ETH will continue trading in that day because ETH have their own market so why they should stop trading? beside that, we can still trade ETH-USDT if BTC is stop trading. beside that, trading activity in market will not stop because of segwit and they still operate their market, the only thing that we should not do is not making withdrawal from one wallet to another wallet. |

I dont think so because ethereum is not based on bitcoins only bitcoins will have a fork and affected of August 1 so the trading still going on. Usdt will also continue Btc to other crypto i think will stop. |

I thought only deposit and withdrawal of Bitcoin will be stopped at the exchanges. Trading shouldn't be affected necessarily as it's just accounting of trade books on the exchanges only. Not to mention Ethereum is totally on another blockchain and why should it be affected?

it will be affected for somehow especially the pair of btc to eth since the major currency to be used buying eth and if this something happen with btc value
for sure eth market will rise up since more pro traders will divert their assets from btc to another crypto and eth will be one of those popular option, just saying since we are going to witness this.
