Will Bitcoin Reach $3,000 Next Week?

at first i wanted to say "no way, that is a big rise and won't happen, we already had a huge rise this year from $1000 and that is a ridiculous yearly rise"

but then i remembered all the things that has happened this year, the mass adoption in Japan for example, the removal of taxes in a couple of countries regarding bitcoin. and then remembered the same me thinking no way price goes above $2000 this year back in January!

i say activation of SegWit is an end to a many year long debate over the block size which has been keeping bitcoin back from rising big time. we should have been at $3800 last year not in the future, so it is easily possible to get there and over it in a short time.

i say activation of SegWit is an end to a many year long debate over the block size which has been keeping bitcoin back from rising big time. we should have been at $3800 last year not in the future, so it is easily possible to get there and over it in a short time.

Right now I'm seeing $2800 and BIP91 is already locked in and around 250 blocks until rejecting non-SegWit blocks. So if the trend continues, we will see $3000 can be touch and maybe $3800 or more could be broken before the year ends. Who would imagine that bitcoin price has moved this far since beginning of the year? Especially after the first ETF rejection, when the price falls back to sub $1000 and people are saying that bitcoin is dead but look at how the price of bitcoin now. So I guess anything is possible and we may unexpected saw bitcoin grow to $5000, who knows.

Right now I'm seeing $2800 and BIP91 is already locked in and around 250 blocks until rejecting non-SegWit blocks. Bitcoin's price often surprises everyone. In 2013 it had a massive pump up to $250 and I doubt anyone expected it to go higher that year. Six months later it went above $1000. Things are so bullish this year history might repeat itself. Just because it's already been pumped doesn't mean it can't get pumped far higher.

I'm sure the $ 3000 price will soon be reached, now the price has reached $ 2720 and if there is no more negative issue then next week the price will reach $ 2900 and the beginning of the month will reach $ 3000.

the money has come back to the market once again and FOMO bought its way back up to $2700 and is staying up there. right now the BIP141 step of SegWit2x is in action and miners have started signaling for the next step once again (currently 51%). possibly when it reaches a higher percentage and gets closer to the target price may rise up again, fast.

This is not going to be major crash and its going to be likely a correction for the balancing of bitcoins price again. What matters most is the FUD was not there anymore about the chain split of bitcoin and there's a lot of investors that came back their funds to bitcoin after pulling out and putting it into some other places like the alt coins.

When all miners are agreed already with Segwit2x for sure we will able to see the price to rise. But next week is quite early for me to see the price of bitcoin reaching $3,000. Though we really don't know if there's a whale that's going to disturb the market and will make the price higher and will buy bulk bitcoins.

whales never go against the market, if they were doing it they would have never became whales in first place!
they always go with the market, for example when there is a panic they dump and manipulate, when there is good news they have already bought the bottoms and place the big buy walls now. and things like that.

and right now there is only good news and tendency is towards rising more. going against this tide is a little dumb

1st August stay one more week again and I'm sure bitcoin prices will soon reach the highest point of 2 or 3 days later and wait after 1st august, the price will reach $3000 or more.

Reaching an ATH next week? I think we are a bit rushing things, it is possible, though. How about we wait first when all will become clear and stable then go to 3000 USD per bitcoin. The price has crossed $2800, so we can expect the price to reach $3000 within a week or in a short time frame before the days of segwit. Somehow the $3000 will be reached, because the price already went close to $3000 and went back reaching as low as $1900. While bitcoin is really a good investment, either for long term or just holding for a few days and it the profit is ripe for you then take it. There was a post by Peter Todd on Reddit that said there is a chance that BIP 91 might not be activated even if it is already locked. The explanation was too technical for my to understand but the gist of it was the miners could still back out and we are back to where we were.

To me, we don't have to wait for next week to see bitcoin at $3000 becaue it may happen anytime soon or now. It's already $2838 on Bitfinex at the moment. It does not take too much time to reach there.

We will strike that target close, value is volatile from $2800 to $2900. More news and updates will make the $3000+ the new ATH for 2017.
