As we are getting a clearer picture of what can happen on and after August 1, people have already voted their confidence on Bitcoin by buying back the coin into their portfolios once again. I think we are having some sort of a revenge here and this prompted many to predict that soon Bitcoin can surpass the psychological level of $3,000.

Can it be this week or next week? Anyway, it is not really that important...the most important thing is that soon we can be out of the woods and soon Bitcoin can be back soaring and roaring like a lion who is out of his cage.

Definitely does seem possible since the price of bitcoin just rose by at least 500 overnight. The prices seem to have stabilished now and it has been around 2.8K for around 12 hours now. Bitcoin doesn't seem to be rising anymore, and if anything, bitcoin dropped 50 in the last 3 or 4 hours. Maybe bitcoin might go back to 2K and hang around there until August the First.

The market is super hard to predict these days, especially due to the hard fork. Bitcoin dropped 1K in a day, then after 2 days, climbed back up and stablised itself and now bitcoin is slowing falling.

Based on bitcoins price today, I think it'll be next week. I read a number of stories about Bitcoin in the mainstream news, most mentioned the price rise, and some mentioned the end of a Bitcoin civil war. Anything that puts Bitcoin in the mainstream news draws in new investors, and they will probably help pump the price for a considerable length of time.

So if the trend continues, we will see $3000 can be touch and maybe $3800 or more could be broken before the year ends. Who would imagine that bitcoin price has moved this far since beginning of the year? Especially after the first ETF rejection, when the price falls back to sub $1000 and people are saying that bitcoin is dead but look at how the price of bitcoin now. This is not going to be major crash and its going to be likely a correction for the balancing of bitcoins price again. What matters most is the FUD was not there anymore about the chain split of bitcoin and there's a lot of investors that came back their funds to bitcoin after pulling out and putting it into some other places like the alt coins.

As you said it seems like that $3000 is some magical psychological number that just cannot be easily broken. Honestly breaking $2000 was a piece of cake and i think a lot of people including me thought that the upward momentum will definitely push bitcoin over $3000 and establish a nice floor at the $3k level. Well, how wrong were we, because we've probably tried to break this like 3 times already and now we're again trying to break it after the sub-2000 level low.

If no network split was to occur after 1st August then obviously this would be major positive news for bitcoin and $3000 wouldn't be something that we have to dream about anymore. If not though, things are tough and probably a drop will be there waiting.

True in the long term, more you invest in btc more you get back in the long term but probably inappropriate when used on the short term. If you are a day trader, you need to be careful because you literally make a living off trading.

Basically that's a normal fluctuations on bitcoin, since particular price was really been a struggle from our funds being invested online.
