Currently is stand as BIP91 LOCKED-IN 267 blocks until rejecting non-SegWit blocks. I think we are not going to see a hard fork after all which means that there will be no split if I'm not mistaken. The price could really surge in the next few weeks and I want to see if you can test again $3000 and how the traders/investors will react to this price. This news really has a great impact as the price rose to $2800 right now.

Last time I checked, it's down to 226 blocks until rejecting non-SegWit blocks. I think we can hit it in just a few days or so. It sent shockwaves to the market that bitcoin suddenly jumped from $2300-$2800 in just 24 hours. It just proves how bitcoin can really rebound from a dip. Well the sky has now open up and I think there no question that $3000 will be the next goal. I really hope that we can really touch it again and see how the market will response or behave once we touch it again.

Locking in SegWit has been taken care of in a very easy and convincing manner. If everything goes according to plan, SegWit should activate within 48 hours from now, and from that point I expect a massive green candle eating through the $3000 like it's nothing. I still find it fascinating that the market can change from bearish to extremely bullish in just a matter of hours. It just shows how much influence certain events have on the market. The earlier than expected signalling for BIP91 has made the market go nuts, while a few hours before that people were speculating about the price that might fall to the lower $1500's -- what a contrast, right?

If everything goes according to plan, SegWit should activate within 48 hours from now

Not exactly.  Within 48 hours BIP91 will start to be enforced, and any miner not signalling for segwit (bit 1 per BIP141) will have their blocks ignored by BIP91 enforcing miners.  After 95% of blocks in a single 2016 block retarget period signal for segwit, it will be locked-in.  Then, after an additional 2016-block retarget period, segwit will finally actually activate.  It will probably be the last week in August before segwit actually activates.
