yeah... Many Newbie in this forum had a diffuclt to build his resputation because the other senior member have a labeled him a scammer before he doing anything. The Point is, If we just offered some service but just got labelled a scammer before we had doing anything , when we can build reputation... Its not fair dude.......
the irony is in the scammer list, the people who had being scam another member in this forum are the old member who had good reputation in past time.
so don't just too early the newbie was scammer, and it's not guaranted the old member is a honest people.

uhm, what? the rules are in place for a reason. it prevents abuse. it doesnt stop abuse, it prevents it. there's a difference. i'm guessing it also helps prevent the forums being filled up with silly questions like "oh hai, i luv the bitcoin - how does i mine it?"

Just as with fiat money, you must prove yourself to be trusted. No bank would ever loan you dollars without collateral. No business would ship you a virtual product before you pay. No customer likes buying from a person who won't give their name. Yet people here seem to be offended when no one trusts them for asking these same things.

You are not labelled a scammer until the scammer tag appears by your name. You need to do business taking some risk (go first) or use escrow in order to build up your reputation and then you can get into doing more business.

I looked through his posts and it seems that someone called him a scammer once.
If you're still around, this is an open forum where there are people who are going to consistently be rude and unreasonable. That being said the majority are of course wonderful people who care deeply about the bitcoin movement.

If they call people scammer without proof I wouldn't bother about it. It takes proof and afaik it's hard to create evidence out of thin air and make it look legit. If it looks real, then chances are it was a scam. With nothing to regulate the exchanges, it will always be hard to build a reputation. Some people will go by the scheme "legit on first run, scam on second one". You will never really know until big amounts of money are involved.

The simple way to avoid being tagged as a potential scammer is transparency. Provide as much verifiable information as you can. That is something that a scammer is reluctant to do and it will quickly set you apart from them. I think this thread is a good example on how to do it: https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,780.0.html

Just because we're on the internet doesn't mean this needs to turn into 4chan. There are checks and balances here for a reason. Bitcoin assets are just as legitimate as fiat assets, and we should consider this before we start turning this into a game.
